Plug the larger end of the firewire cable into the firewire port in the back of the mac

Find the firewire port on the camera and plug the other end of the firewire

cable into it.

Double-click on the iMovie icon to open

it

Click on the camera import icon

settings you want and then

click import.

Once done click on stop and you can

begin editing

The import window should open, use the controls to find your footage

Create a new project by

clicking file new project then select

your clip

Drag it to your working area and repeat until all your clips are where you want them and are beginning to tell your story.

Add titles and credits by dragging them into

place. Double click on them to edit them

Add transitions by dragging them from the transition menu and dropping them between your clips.

Add music and sound using the media menu.

6.To export click

share then export. (you may also want

to send it to Youtube)

7.Choose the movie size you want and where you want to save it and click export. Once it's complete you are ready to watch your completed movie.
