IME inductive sensors are used to detect metal targets in a variety of applications in the packaging, assembly, metal forming, automotive, and semiconductor industries. IME sensors provide more accuracy, better repeatability and a tighter hysteresis than common inductive sensors in the market. These improvements are due to ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) technology, which eliminates production tolerances. The IME’s reduced sensitivity tolerance allows users to increase the distance between the sensor and the target, reducing the risk of mechanical damage. IME sensors are also more immune to high Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) signals, voltage and current spikes (burst, transients), and electrostatic discharge (ESD). In addition to their superior electrical characteristics, IME sensors offer exceptional mechanical performance. The robust IME sensor housings offer a higher tightening torque rating (up to 100 Nm) than the standard market sensors, which provides more rigid installation with locking nuts. Plus, IME sensors offer better shock and vibration resistance due to hot melt filling material, increasing the sensors’ life.

• Minimized production tolerances ensure higher accuracy and repeatability

• Superior tightening torque enables more rigid installation

• Highest resistance to shock and vibration due to a special filling material

• Fully encapsulated housing provides better resistance to humidity

• Higher immunity to electrical disturbances, including ESD and RFI, which reduces downtime
