To test the functions of expanding and collapsing a topological object. None 1. 2. 3. The U2000 must work in the normal state. You must have logged in to the U2000 and have the related management and operation rights. There must be subnets and NEs in the topology view. Right-click in the blank area of the topology view and choose Expand All from the shortcut menu. Right-click in the blank area of the topology view and choose Collapse All from the shortcut menu. All the NE icons are successfully displayed in the Main Topology, and the subnet icons are not displayed. For the NE that belongs to a subnet (excluding the root subnet), only the subnet icon is displayed in the Main Topology. For the NE that only belongs to the root subnet, the NE icon is displayed in the Main Topology.

T01-0102 Viewing the Connection InformationObjective Test Networking Diagram Prerequisites

To test the function of viewing the connection information in the topology view. None. 1. 2. 3. The U2000 must work in the normal state. You must have logged in to the U2000 and have the related management and operation rights. There must be connections in the topology view. In the topology view, click in the middle of a connection between two NEs where two or more connections exist. Alternatively, right-click the connection and choose Expand from the shortcut menu. Then the connection is expanded. To in the middle of any connection between two collapse a connection, click NEs; alternatively, right-click the connection and choose Collapse from the shortcut menu. 2. In the topology view, move the cursor to a connection. The connection name is displayed in the tooltip. Alternatively, right-click the connection and choose Object Attributes from the shortcut menu. When you choose Expand, the collapsed connection is successfully expanded. When you choose Collapse, the expanded connection is successfully collapsed. The connection attributes are correctly displayed.

Test Procedure

In the topology view, select an NE or a subnet, and then choose Edit > Cut, Edit > Copy, Edit > Copy to, or Edit > Move to from the main menu. Alternatively, rightclick the NE or subnet and choose Edit > Cut, Edit > Copy, Edit > Copy to, or Edit > Move to from the shortcut menu. The NE or subnet is successfully cut, copied or moved. None. T01-0106 Searching for Topological ObjectsObjective Test Networking Diagram Prerequisites

To test the function of searching for topological objects. None. 1. 2. The U2000 must work in the normal state. You must have logged in to the U2000 and have the related management and operation rights. In the Main Topology, press the shortcut keys Ctrl+F. The Search dialog box is displayed. On the Basic tab page, select a search type from the Search Type drop-down list box. On the Basic tab page, select a search mode from the Search Mode drop-down list box. On the Basic tab page, enter a keyword in the Keyword text box. Select the check box next to Match Whole to search for objects in the full match mode. Select the check box next to Case Sensitive to enable the keyword search in the case-sensitive mode. Click Search to search for the topological object. The required topological object is successfully searched out. All the matching records are successfully displayed in the list. Click Locate to NE and a single NE is located. Click Locate to Topo and the node in the topology view is located.

Choose View > Creating > Custom View from the main menu. On the General tab page, enter a name in the Name text box and remarks in the Remarks text box. Choose Topology. The Select Object window is displayed. In the topology view, select the required NE(s) or subnet(s), right-click, choose Select from the shortcut menu, and then click Finish. Click NE List. The Select Object window is displayed. Select the required NE(s) or subnet(s) and then click OK to exit the window. Click OK. The Create Custom View dialog box is closed. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes to switch to the newly created custom view. The custom view is successfully created. You can switch to the newly created view successfully. You can successfully switch to other views by selecting them in the Current View drop-down list box.

The U2000 must work in the normal state. You must have logged in to the U2000 and have the related management and operation rights. There must be manageable NEs in the topology view of the U2000.

Test Procedure Expected Results

In the navigation tree or topology view, select an NE, right-click, and then choose Synchronize Current Alarms from the shortcut menu. 1. The progress bar indicating the alarm synchronization status is displayed. After the synchronization is completed, the Operation Result dialog box is displayed. If the operation fails, the details about the failure are displayed. All alarms of the NE are successfully synchronized onto the U2000.

T01-0203 Acknowledging Alarms of an NEObjective Test Networking Diagram Prerequisites

To test the function of acknowledging alarms of an NE. None. 1. 2. 3. The U2000 must work in the normal state. You must have logged in to the U2000 and have the related management and operation rights. There must be manageable NEs in the topology view of the U2000.

Test Procedure Expected Results

In the navigation tree or topology view, select an NE, right-click, and then choose Acknowledge Alarms from the shortcut menu. 1. 2. The alarms of the NE are successfully acknowledged and the Operation Result dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation is successful. In the Browse Current Alarms window, the acknowledgment status, acknowledgment time, and acknowledgment user are displayed. In addition, after the acknowledgment, the cleared alarms are successfully moved to the history alarm library.

Remarks

Before acknowledging alarms, you need to view the current alarms of the NE and note down the cleared and uncleared alarms. In this way, you can check whether the cleared alarms are successfully moved to the history alarm library after they are acknowledged. T01-0203

Choose Fault > Browse Current Alarms, Fault > Browse History Alarms, Fault > Browse Alarm Logs, or Fault > Browse Event Logs from the main menu. In the Filter dialog box that is displayed, enter the parameters and click OK. The windows for browsing the current alarms, history alarms, or alarm logs or event logs are displayed. Click Filter, specify the filter criteria in the Filter dialog box, and then click OK. The Filter dialog box is successfully displayed. The information about current alarms, history alarms, and alarm logs or event logs is correctly displayed. The information about current alarms, history alarms, alarm logs, or event logs is correctly displayed according to different filter criteria.

Choose Fault > Query Alarm Log Statistics or Fault > Query Event Log Statistics from the main menu. Choose Template > New. In the Add Template dialog box, set parameters for the template and then click OK.

Click Statistic Filter. Set parameters and then click OK. Click the Pie tab and query the pie chart of alarm or event logs. The template is successfully added and the alarm or event logs that statistics are collected for according to the template are correct. The U2000 can collect statistics about the number of alarms, average acknowledgment time, and average clear time respectively according to the statistic filter criteria and ensure that the statistics are correct. The pie chart of the alarm/event logs is correctly displayed.

Alternatively, select the operation rights to be deleted and click Delete. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes. Set the domain of a user group: Select a user group from the navigation tree. On the Domain tab page in the right pane, click Select. In the Select Domain dialog box, select the object sets and subnets to be added to the domain and click OK. Alternatively, clear the object sets and subnets that need not be added into the domain. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes. Delete a user group: Right-click a user group in the navigation tree and choose Delete from the shortcut menu. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes. The information about all managed user groups is successfully queried. The information about a single user group is successfully queried. The user group is successfully created. The new user group is displayed in the user group list and is added to the U2000. The general attributes and members of a user group are successfully set. The name of the user group to be created must be unique. 1. 2. 3. The user group named all user groups cannot be created. Only user administrator can assign the security operation rights to other users. The user that has rights to manage certain user groups can add or delete members of a non-security user group. In other cases, only a user that has rights to manage all user groups can perform operations on the user group. The U2000 provides some user groups by default. These default user groups are the same as the ordinary user groups, except that they are preconfigured during the installation.

Then, set the refreshing interval of hard disk monitoring and hard disk monitoring thresholds. Click the Database Monitor tab. Then, set the refreshing interval of database monitoring and database space usage thresholds. Click the Process Monitor tab. Then, set the refreshing interval of process monitoring. Query the information about the server, process, database, and hard disk and check whether it is the same as the preset values. The information about the system monitoring parameters is correctly displayed. The information about the server, process, database, and hard disk is refreshed according to the preset refreshing intervals. When the resource utilization exceeds the threshold, the corresponding resource records on the database information, system resource information, and hard disk information tab pages are displayed in red.
