Native App for Vacationers This Fortune 500 customer partnered with a popular travel brand to build a technology platform for providing smart advice to vacationers and business travelers on their mobile.Imaginea was chosen to deliver the native iOS and Android apps. Before diving into technology, we built a good storyboard that made the client’s idea very compelling and something everyone could relate to.The design and prototyping exercise led to a modular, incremental engineering plan.


A retail application for mobile users who need information on a product they see at the store. The app uses Red Laser and Google Barcode SDKs. The backend CMS has YouTube like features for managing videos, with facility for product vendor to upload video and digital discount coupons. A Facebook Connect is included for quick onboarding of users and publishing “Like” videos.

A niche alternate to Yelp! Crafted for the sensibilities of a generation that live off iPhone, frequent Sushi Bars, and love fine wining and dining. Businesses serving their interests get pages and advertising space for best deals and offers. People discover them via Four Square, Facebook and other networking habits. Discovery based on recommendations, rating, friends, check-ins, and current location.

Native App for Urban Hotspot Discovery


A large B2B Auction major in US provides all features of its parent website on the iPhone. Challenge was in showing the right amount of information and in the right context. Users can navigate to warehouses nearby to inspect assets they are bidding for. Tasks such as search, and account monitoring are given prime visibility across screens using a smart navigation system. HTML 5.0, SenchaTouch, and a jQuery Touch version too.

HTML5 App for a B2B Ecommerce Major


Travel recommendation application that recommends best bets in terms of cost, time and reliability – from door to door. Self-service multi-modal travel assistant for business travelers. Hybrid application using native and HTML 5.0, with back-end in Python and Java. Challenge was in coming up with a UI that will provide a garden path to travelers faced with multiple choices of going from A to B.

Technical Brief on Automation: Bot-Bot for Android

Bot-Bot is developed at Imaginea

Selenium-like keyword-driven automation framework for native Android applications

Test-cases defined in csv format converted to Java files and then executed using TestNG execution framework, Selenium Native Driver and Ant

Server: Records user actions through Recorder and allows users to export their test-cases

Recorder: Tracks user actions at the android app side and then send them to the Server

Runner: Allows user to run their recorded test-cases on the actual android application as a suite

Generates HTML reports at end of test execution
