Images from NEF CEEDS Open day Thank you to all those that attended the New Energy Farms (NEF) CEEDS open day yesterday in Leamington and individual customer tours this week. The demonstration covered the full value chain for feedstock supply from purpose grown crops from breeding, establishment, harvesting to end use. The NEF CEEDS establishment system was demonstrated, covering crops including, Napier Grass, Miscanthus, Arundo Donax and Sugar Cane. The CEEDS system delivers fully automatic, cost effective precision planting for these crops for fuel, fibre and feed. Further demonstrations covered energy crop breeding operations, field evaluation of new cultivars and an internal biomass bio products processing facility. Images of the day are presented below. NEF can host any further groups interested in seeing the same operations during the fall, please contact NEF on the details below. [email protected]. Demonstration of large scale commercial production of Miscanthus crops for biomass feedstock production, image shows a 3 year old Miscanthus cv Illinois.

CEEDS planting equipment and mature stems of Arundo Donax showing the high yield capability of this bio ethanol and biogas feedstock crop. Prior to CEEDS

there were no cost effective means of scaling this crop for customers.
