Identifying measurement tools

This slide show will assist students in being able to name and describe each tool.

CalendarA calendar is used for a variety of purposes. It

tells us the days of the week, the month, and the date. We can also put pictures or write on the

calendar to help up remember important dates.

Thermometer A thermometer is used to tell us the

temperature. The numbers on the thermometer can tell us how hot or cold something is.

Ruler

A ruler is a tool used to measure the length or width of an item. The numbers tell us how short or long something is.

Clock

A clock tells us the time. A clock can be analog or digital.
