The Clark Girls. Their family operated the Clark Hotel , now a museum in Van Horn

Across the street, the historic Hotel El Capitan. Fully restored and operating as a hotel today. Host for the town’s annual Pecan Dessert Contest.

The recipe didn’t offer an oven temperature. We used 350 degrees

and watched them like a hawk!
