What information do we alwayshave on a Work Order? – The WorkOrder Short Description

Watson Analytics can identifyhidden problems with structureddata, Watson Conversationprovides the capability to usemachine learning techniques totrain to interpret unstructured datain a short description

We have integrated WatsonConversation with Maximo andtrained it on international standardISO14224 data to be able to identifyproblem codes from a WOdescription

We have built a trainingenvironment to allow the customerto train with their own data. Thesecan be bulk loaded or trainedincrementally by an Engineer

Watson Conversation provides aconfidence level with its resultsthis can be used in conjunctionwith its Bot capability to interactwith a user to clarify problemrecords

We have extended this work to beable to identify failure class andcomponent

IBM currently complies with privacy laws around the world. IBM is also preparing to comply with the EuropeanUnion’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will go into effect in May 2018. IBM hasestablished a global project to prepare for GDPR, both for our internal processes and for our commercialofferings. IBM recognises that our customers will rely on IBM’s offerings and technical assistance to achieveGDPR compliance within their own organisations and IBM is well-positioned to meet this critical need.

As part of its GDPR project, IBM is enhancing its ongoing commitment to privacy by design. IBM is working toembed data protection principles even more deeply into its business processes, with the objective thattechnical and organisational security measures limit, by default, the amount and use of personal data to whatis specifically required. This work will also strengthen controls already in place to limit access to personaldata, including with respect to mobile applications that rely on sensible default settings to prevent personaldata from being inadvertently shared with others.

Technical Improvements to Maximo

Configuration Integration Integrating to IBM services Security

Addition of new Formula engineinside Maximo that lets usersdefine excel like formulaexpressions and bind those toMbo attributes for quick Mbocustomization. The library of out of the boxformula functions can easily beextended by customers usingscripted functions.

Support for seamless integration of MaximoMbo's with external REST/JSON apis withthe new Federated Mbo's concept.Any external REST/JSON api can beencapsulated into a Federated Mbo withmere configuration. These new Federated Mbo’s can then beused as part of any other Maximo artifacts -Workflow, Integration, REST apis,Conditions, Maximo UI etc.

Support for Integration to IoTPlatform (leveraged in Asset HealthInsights).

Enhancement to MaximoIntegration Security whereMaximo Object Structures canbe secured using Maximosecurity artifacts likesigoptions and permissionsand data restrictions.

Expanded scripting capabilitywith addition of new scriptedcustomization points forIntegration, Mbo's as well asREST apis.

Introduced JSON mapping frameworkwhich can be leveraged to map anyexternal JSON data to Maximo Mbo’s andMaximo Mbo’s to external json formatusing configuration.Supported asynchronous JSONprocessing/Message tracking through JMSQueues.

Support for Weather apis fromIBM's TWC platform. These Weather apis can beconsumed inside Maximo businessrules and UI.Provide out of the box formulafunctions for Weather relatedcalculations using formulas.

Ongoing Feature Pack enhancements to improve configurationoptions and access to latest technologies.
