OUR PROYECT

Ibérica skateboards sprang up in Barce-lona when two design students decided to build themselves a couple of decks made out of dense wood. They wanted to bring back what those decks transmitted back in the old days, and so it began.

The idea has been gaining shape month by month. We’ve been working with different materials and techniques and the project has finally culminated in a totally handcrafted and unique range of decks. As the manufacturing process involves only two people, each deck is unique, personal and numbered.

Ibérica skateboards recaptures the es-sence of the first generations together with its mobility. Therefore, we recom-mend 85mm trucks, soft bearings, tube wheels and avoiding the use of abrasive paper.

Each deck is named after a spanish woman, such as the first two we built: Lola and Tere.

Ibérica skateboards nace cuando dos estudiantes de diseño en Barcelona, de-cidimos construirnos un par de mono-patines de madera maciza, recordando las sensaciones que transmitían antigua-mente.

Durante muchos meses de proyecto la idea ha ido evolucionando tanto en ma-teriales como en técnicas concluyendo en una gama de monopatines totalmente artesanales, a lo largo de un proceso en el que sólo intervenimos dos personas. De esta manera, cada monopatín es úni-co y personal, estando todos numerados.

Ibérica skateboards recupera la esencia de las primeras generaciones, así como su movilidad, por lo que recomendamos ejes de 85mm, gomas blandas, ruedas de tubo y no usar lija.

Cada colección tiene un nombre típico de mujer española, como las dos prime-ras, Lola y Tere.

Enjoy what Lola can offer you while riding barefooted on a sunny day. As surprising as it might seem, you will be able to nail countless tricks thanks to its reduced size.

Su forma ovalada y uniforme, unida a la disposición de los ejes dotan a Lola de la estabilidad necesaria para disfrutar de la agilidad de nuestras tablas, siendo ideal para desplazamientos urbanos.

Disfruta de Lola descalzo en un buen día de sol, su acabado está pensado para ello. Podrás realizar multitud de giros y derrapes gracias a sus reducidas dimen-siones.

With a more lineal shape than Lola, Tere sacrifices stability to offer you the pos-sibility of riding all the ways you can imagine.

Its handcrafted tail lets you do whatever trick you can think of. This and the mill-ing of the grip tape turn Tere into a more aggressive deck that enables you to set the limits of your daring.

Con una forma más lineal que Lola, Tere sacrifica la estabilidad para dar lugar a un control mucho más libre.

Realiza cualquier tipo de truco gracias a su tail, el cual está tallado a mano. Esto unido al fresado de la superficie hacen de Tere una tabla más agresiva en la que tú pones los límites.

The range of tones provided is approxi-mate, as every deck has its particular characteristics due to the handcrafted dying process.
