In the 1st sentence mit is in last position, in the 2nd sentence mitkommen stays

together in final position.

Conjugated Infinitive in final positionWhen a separable prefix is used with a modal auxiliary (müssen), the conjugated verb is in 2nd position and the second verb

is in the infinitive form in final position.
