I Don’t Know Who I Am

I cannot and will not become another person. It is physically impossible and

will probably end with me locked up in a soft room if I try. The target, however, does

transform and change as I go through the journey of the show. The target changing

allows the audience to believe I have gone through a major change based on the fifth

rule of the target that it is always transforming. Objects in the show have also

changed in some fashion. From the start to the finish I may not see a room or

something as simple as a picture in quite the same way as I did prior.

I see a transformation of a character from beginning to end of a show like

someone who has seen a lot of hurt or trouble in his or her life. They may not be as

easily upset as someone like myself who has had a relatively easy life. We are just

different people, we could go through the same thing, but it will effect us differently.

It is that type of transformation from the beginning to the end. By the end, most

characters do not want to be fucked with any more.

“We can only hope to get back to a living moment by remembering how we

got there”. I absolutely love this quote. I love this because it makes me want to work

harder. I love having great moments on stage, but once they are over, they are dead.

They cannot be repeated in quite the same way ever again. This is why every

performance of a show is slightly different. Journaling to me is important. What did I

do in a particular moment that felt good and got me to a place where the moment

felt great, I was truly connected, listening, and rid of the destructive fear? I am

hoping by journaling and keeping track I can find some kind of pattern to and find

out what helps me tick.
