How will traffic be affected? To reduce the inconvenience to motorists and residents, traffic will be maintained using construction staging in three separate groups. Construction will take place and be completed within Group 1 and 3 before work begins in Group 2.

What is being done?

Starting in the spring of 2004, the Michigan Department of Transportation

will rehabilitate 21 bridges along the I-94 corridor. The project stretches from

just west of US-23 in Washtenaw County to Mt. Hope Rd. in Jackson County.

Improvements include bridge deck replacement, structural steel repair

and bridge painting.

How will traffic be affected?

To reduce the inconvenience to motorists and residents, traffic will be maintained using construction

staging in three separate groups. Construction will take place and be completed within Group 1 and 3

before work begins in Group 2.

I-94 over Ann Arbor RR

I-94 under State St. Two lanes maintained in each direction on State St. The eastbound I-94 on-ramp to northbound State St. closed for two-weeks to accommodate work at the Ann Arbor RR.

I-94 under Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Maintain minimum one lane in direction on Ann Arbor-Saline Rd.

Construction will take place at the Ann Arbor RR, State St. and I-94 BL starting in March and is expected to be completed by Memorial Day. After Memorial Day, construction will occur at Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. and Wagner Rd. with all work completed by mid-July.

On I-94, 24-hour-seven-day-a-week, single closures will take place in each direction along I-94 near the Ann Arbor RR and I-94 BL for several months. Shoulder and nighttime closures will occur on I-94 at the other locations during construction.

Construction will take place at Mill Creek, Dancer Rd., Old US-12/Fletcher Rd. and Freer Rd. starting in approximately mid-July. Once work is complete at these locations in early fall, work at Parker Rd. and M-52 will begin.
