Central Highlights• Baghdad

– Approximately half of gas stations being resupplied

– Area LPG bottling plant nearly out of LPG• Reports of prices inflated 20 times normal• Readily switched to kerosene in 1991

• Al Kut – Distributing propane (approx 1720 tanks)– Substantial crowd control required

• Ar Rutbah– Vaccination supplies expected 30 Apr– School vaccination program will begin then

• Al Hillah– Three month’s of medical supplies on hand– No plan apparent for resupply after that

• Ad Diwaniyah– Power awaiting supplies from outside town– Only 5% of 100MW requirement being met– 3 water treatment plants take in river water

• Total capacity is 4800 cubic meters/hour• Extensive detail in situation report

– Arranged re-fueler to deliver gasoline supply• Petroleum and benzene delivered

– Six main hospitals, two have been fully assessed• Supply shortages at both facilities

• Nukhayb– NGO team of 8 doctors and medicine en route– Will remain for 2-8 days– Follow-on work for 2-3 months in a Karbala
