    The notebook uses an electric fan for ventilation. The fan iscontrolled by a temperature sensor and is designed to be turned

    on automatically when high temperature conditions exist. Theseconditions can be caused by high external temperatures, heavysystem power consumption, certain power management/batteryconservation configurations, battery fast charging, and somesoftware applications. Exhaust air is displaced through theventilation grill located on the left side of the notebook.

    Diagnostics for Windows is designed to test HP components. Ifthird-party components are tested, the results might be

    inconclusive.
