    How to teach Millennials

    1. Be relevant.

Show students how what you're teaching will

help them be successful in the areas they

    want to be successful.

Don't teach knowledge for knowledge's sake.

    2. Be relational

    Millennials are all about relationships.

Use whatever means is most comfortable to

    them.

    your world.

    3. Care. Students don't care how much you know

until they know how much you care. One poll found students putting

"knowledgeable" last on their list of whatthey look for in a professor.

Don't think you can impress them byknowing all the dates of important historicalevents.

If you're simply dispensing facts that theycan look up on the internet, you'reirrelevant.
