How to get Here!The ECCOMAS Young Investigators Conference 2012 will be held at theUniversity of Aveiro, city of Aveiro, Portugal.The closest airport is the International Airport in Porto, located 80 km North fromAveiro. Lisbon International Airport is 250 km South from Aveiro.

FLYING From Porto to AveiroThe trip between the airport and the Porto-Campanh railway station, which has

direct rail connections to Aveiro, can be done by taxi for around 20EUR andtakes around 30 minutes. A less expensive way to reach the Porto-Campanhrailway station is to use the Metro, which has a terminal at the airport. The tripsbetween the airport and the railway station take about 32 minutes and the ticketcosts 1,85EUR (Z4 ticket). Follow this link for Metro information.The train journey to Aveiro takes between 40 and 75 minutes, depending on thetype of train used. There are regular trains to Aveiro from Porto. FLYING From Lisbon to AveiroIf you are flying to Lisbon airport, the simplest way to get to Aveiro is by train

from Lisboa-Oriente railway station. To get to the train station, you can use ataxi, which takes about 10 minutes and costs around 10EUR, but there are lessexpensive ways to get there, by bus, for example (lines 5 and 44). Follow thislink for train timetables.

BY ROAD From North using the A1 motorway or from the east using theIP5/A25Take the A1 motorway in the direction of Lisbon. Exit the A1 in the direction ofAveiro and take the IP5/A25. Take the second exit to Aveiro as it is best forreaching the University.

BY ROAD From South using the A1 motorwayTake the A1 motorway in the direction of Porto. Exit the motorway at exit 15 andfollow the EN235 directly to the University Campus.

BY ROAD From South using the A8/A17 motorwaysExit the motorway at "Aveiro-Sul and follow the EN235 directly to the UniversityCampus.

HOW TO reach the University CampusAveiro railway station is located about 20 minutes walking distance or 5 minutestaxi ride from the University Campus. You can also use the bus (green line)

which departs at regular intervals from just outside the railway station.
