Discover 21 New secrets below that most great bloggers don’t know!

I have never seen anything like what I’m going to show you!

Just last week I attended a special event with our company in Las Vegas.

Our company hired a multi-millionaire blogger to speak at the event. You may have heard of him. Hisname is Neil Patel.

Probably the most successful blogger in the world!

I was absolutely excited to hear that Neil Patel was speaking at our event.

I thought – “here was a guy that makes multi-millions doing the same thing I do, blogging! Maybe some ofhis magic can rub off on me!

Page 2: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Maybe his magic can rub off on you too!

I hope it does!

Maybe you know the feeling.

To me it was like going to my first ball game with my Dad.

Everything Neil taught us was all about making money from home blogging online.

Truthfully, I’m not trying to promote, Neil.

He didn’t pay me to write this post.

I just want to provide value to my subscribers!

This stuff was so phenomenal that I decided that I couldn’t keep it a secretany longer!

Warning!

At first glance, it seems so simple, but believe me:

the stuff your are going to see below

is all about how to bring traffic to your blog naturally!

So here you go!

I counted 27 all together!

27 Blogging secrets that most bloggers in the world don’t even know about (or ignore).

So check out the secrets below

1. Know Where Your Customers are Coming From

How well do you know your customers?

Where do they Hang out?

Page 3: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Do they come from Facebook, Twitter, Linked In or YouTube?

If most of your customers are coming from these social networks, Neal says that you have to be a masterat reaching out to them on the social networks.

Do you post your blogs to your Google+, Facebook or Twitter accounts.

2. Don’t be afraid to teach on your blogs

When I first started doing this, I was scared out of my wits.

But I moved forward anyway.

When you are new, you have to get out of your comfort zone and move forward anyway.

Learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable!

Look at it this way, if your college professor asked you to teach about a topic and post it on a blog, youwould have to do it. Well Im a college teacher, and I’m giving an assignment.

Start teaching on your blog and don’t delay!

Procrastination will cost you big time!

It’s kind of funny, the butterflies never go away, you just get them to fly in formation !

3. Create A Conversation

Engage people in a conversation (Google loves social engagement on blogs)!Use “you” and “I” a lot. (This gets people to engage)

For Example - What do you think about saying something like this?…

“You’ve probably had less than x followers on twitter.

You’ve probably struggled trying to get good quality targeted followers.

Page 4: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

I can help you.

I’ve been able to attract XX targeted followers on twitter.

Let me show you what I did to attract so many followers this year”!

By the way…

Below is a new live hangout training I did for my team the other day!

It’s my ” How to Get An Avalanche of Leads To Your Blog ” webinar.

It is the same stuff on this page, but with many more details and examples!

You can read on…

OR

You can watch the Live Webinar Directly on YouTube Here .

OR See Below!

I will teach you how Nick Patel drives a ton of leads tohis blog

in the live ON PAGE webinar below:

4. Use at least 3 – 5 headings in yourblog

This blog is a perfect example. In fact multipleheadings are OK.

In your headings, us the H1, H2 and H3 tags.

How do you do that if you are not a techy person?

Well…

WordPress and the Kalatu blogs allow you to insert these tags with the click of a button.

According to Neil Patel,

Page 5: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

“80% of people read the headings and the conclusion.

And 20% of those who read the headings will read the rest of the blog”

Spend time creating good headings and conclusions.

When Patti and I were at the event in Las Vegas.

Neil asked us to get together in groups of 6 or 8.

We brainstormed for about a half an hour creating hot headlines that convert!

It wasn’t easy at first, but I found myself writing some pretty good headings.

I guess I wanted to show off and have the best headline in my group.

Everyone seem to want to “one up” everyone else in the group!

This motivated me to create better than average titles and headings!

This was a super mind-set shift for me!

I sat their thinking, why not take this kind of a mind-shift. If I just create headlines and headings as ifsomeone in my “family” were competing with me, I would simply crush the headings and headlines!!

What else did Neil teach?

This may surprise you…

5. Write Long Blog Posts (Over 2000 words)

Holy s*#t!

Only a couple of years ago, top bloggers were teaching that 500 – 700 words were optimal.

But 2000?

I took a deep breath!

Page 6: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Picked my bottom lip off the floor (and my ego)?

As a business owner, I a willing to do what it takes!

If writing a 2000 blog post is what it takes, I’ll do it.

If writing one good blog post, brings in more money than 5 average blog posts,

I guess, Ill just have to suck up my pride and start kicking butt!

I use to HATE writing in

high school and college!!

But today, I write every day!

Ironic hah?

All of the average bloggers will have to eat my dust…

all of the way to my bank!

The fact is…

Neil discovered that most posts on the first page of Google contain 2100 – 2500 words.

(this blog is about 2800 words)

He also discovered that it is important to use 3 – 5 paragraphs under each heading.

Short paragraphs are preferred to long!

I call this the “blog format” of writing!

You may have heard of the “scientific format”

of writing?

Your English teacher never taught

you the “blog format” did she?

Schools still don’t teach this stuff!

Page 7: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

But I’ll bet your English Teacher never drove

hundreds of thousands of visitors to her blog!

Sorry English teachers!

Anyway…

For example, the format of this blog has severalheadings

with short paragraphs.

Also…

The paragraphs seldom should have more than 3 sentences.

(If you want to make money blogging )

When you read a web page or a blog, do you instantly read every

word in the sentence?

No…

Like me, you scan for the…

Headlines,

Headings

and

Conclusions

That’s what I thought!

I do the exact same thing.

Heck who doesn’t!

Page 8: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

I just want to see if the page is worth reading!

How are you going to catch attention?

Since headlines are magic, Neil recommends the following…

What About Headlines?

6. Headlines using odd numbers and/ornegative words get the best click throughrates

Examples:

27 Ways To Explode Your Blog Traffic?

3 Ways to Loose Weight While You Sleep!

7 Blog Traffic Accidents to Avoid Online!

See Your Business Explode – Hire a Woman! (ORMan)

~I’m sure that one will get the comments flying!

7. Keep headlines under 65 characters –

(best for SEO and Click Through Rates).

Have you ever done a Google search and notice that

Headlines are frequently cut off ant the end?

Readers want to see what they are clicking on before they proceed.

Page 9: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

8. Aim for 6 Word Headlines

Just three word made this one!

Even though it was an editors goof,

it is one of the most famous headlines of all time!

Everyone seems to remember it.

I wasn’t even alive at the time,

but I’ve seen it a hundred times!

9. Use Google Results at the bottom of a search for keyword ideas.

Just type in a key word in Google and look for the suggested searches at the bottom

of the search.

Note, sometimes this doesn’t show until you actually click on one of the suggested links.

After visiting the suggested page, just type in the same key word phrase and

the “searches related” feature often shows up.

Like this one from Google:

Just just typed in ” How To Make Money With your Blog For Free ”

I got the following related searches at the bottom of the page:

10. Make Headlines Match the Content.

Good Example:

17 Best Ways To Drive Traffic to your Blog!

Use keywords in your blog Naturally

Post Your Blog To Social Media

Ask Others to Comment on your Blog

Page 10: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Did you notice that the words above were actually animage!

I didn’t want to fool Google with the wrong key words .

11. Avoid Words with Multiple ORDeceptive Meanings

I see people try this stuff all of the time!

It just back fires on them!

Google gets confused when you try that stuff.

Also I have a moral issue with blogs that are deceptive.

I tell all of my team members, never, never, ever lie about your business!

Be true to yourself in your blogs, videos, posts and other marketing.

This is my own standard!

And this is the standard I expect for my team!

12. Include Power words and interesting Phrases

For example: “Effortless, incredible, 27 shocking facts, phenomenal, explosive, the secret about”

Here are a few ideas.

Feel free to use any of these (just leave me a “thank you” in the comments below).

How to Encourage Blog CommentsSomehow, someway you have to figure out creative ways to get natural comments on your blog!

When you visit another blogger’s site,

when do you leave comment?

(let us know below)

When you get a ton of value, share the love dude!

This might seem crazy to some, but I even leave comments

on competitor’s blogs when I receive value!

You never know, maybe they will leave a comment on your blog.

13. Blogs that are well engaged are seen as highly relevant blogs in Google.

Remember!

Comments = Rankings!!

Page 12: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

14 Always Reply Back To Comments (even negative ones).

Watch your comments closely.

Reply back to everything!

This can be unmanageable, unless you have a blog platform that allows

you to view all of your comments from one page.

For Example the WordPress 4.0 powered Kalatu Blog platform from Empower Network

allows you to view and respond to all of your comments from one

page.

Even if you have 300 blog pages,

the Kalatu Blog Platform makes replying easy!

The cool thing is that you don’t have to go to individual blogs to reply back to

comments.

1. Just go to your Kalatu Back Office and Click on “Menu”.

2. Scroll down to “Comments”

3. Hover over the comment and the option to “reply” willappear.

4. Start typing your reply.

Cool!

You never even had to navigate to the original blog post!

Could you imaging how big of a pain it would be if you hadto go

though each and every one of your blog post.

Page 13: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Make your life easier!

Sometimes simple is more!

15. Be Positive in your Replying, (EvenWhen People are being Negative!)

Remember earlier I said “Kill With Kindness”.

It applies especially here!

Even when people are being a jerk, I try to put a positive twist

to their comment.

It’s interesting because, these people expect you to reply

and fight with you.

So when I reply back with a very positive, even complementary reply, its amazing how many times these people seem to make a turnabout.

These are sometimes the most interactive!

The fun really happens when someone else besides me

zings one of these people (especially when its controversial).

The comments start to fly!!

16. Don’t Delete Negative Comments

Remember, Google doesn’t care if the comments are negative or positive!

Therefore, I Seldom delete comments.

Page 14: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

Obviously, if the blog comments are clearly spam (especially computer generated spam), throw that can ofspam in the trash.

OR

If the comments on my blog are violent, explicit or clearly malicious, I will delete.

But most of the time I will not delete negative comments.

I may even take a barb or two. But I still don’t delete.

Sometimes you have to bite your own tongue and say.

“This person may not like me today, but Google loves me”

17. Ask questions at the end of your blog post. (Italicize the question)

Remember the good questions engage your readers!

If you use bold or especially caps, people thing you are yelling at them.

Italics get their attention, without being “selly”

18. Put questions and comments must be in a conversational tone.

Make the questions and comments flow.

19. Use a lot of “you” or “I” in your comments.

“You” and “I” personalizes your comments as well as your blog posts.

Write as if your favorite reader is sitting on the couch next to you.

How would the conversation flow.

How do you feel when someone sits down by you and just

starts to spout off without asking your opinion and

feelings about stuff.

Page 15: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

For example,

I want to know how you feel!

Your opinion matters!

Let me know how you feel below!

20. When commenting on other people’s blogs:Kill with kindness!

Call it brown nosing.

Call it what you want!

But…

Flattery goes a long way!

The other day I got on the phone with my aunt.

The first thing I said is,

“Betty, how is my favorite aunt”

How do you think she felt.

I also say the same thing to my sister in law

Id say, “Colleen, how is my favorite sister in law?”

She just said “keep it coming, keep it coming”

I am sincere,

But it’s sincere flattery!

Colleen knows its sincere flattery,

Page 16: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

but…

she still loves it.

Why not try the same stuff when you comments on other people’s stuff!

Don’t you think that if you start “killing with kindness” on other people’s

blogs, then maybe they will return the favor?

21. Put your URL at the end of comments.

Assuming that we are talking about some one Else’s blog posts!

But…

Do not spam!

Be respectful!

Be careful with this one.

Just the sight of a link causes many people to delete your comment.

You better give a super complementary comment, before

an end with your blog or facebook link.

You have to be careful with your wording.

If you are going to put a link in a comment, be sure that the link

actually goes to a blog of yours that actually can provide

related value to the reader of the other post.

Be sure you tell the readers, how much you love the blog

Page 17: how to drive an avalanche of leads to your blog

post you are commenting on.

Again, kill with kindness!!

Praise, Praise, Praise (but keep it sincere)

Let the readers know how YOUR content can provide

additional value.

The link needs to be at the bottom of the comment.
