Why digitize old pictures
Old pictures deteriorate over time. They fade, they get scratches, color shift happens and in the worst those may be even lost due to natural disasters.

Restoration Type Description
Basic When the scratches are very minimal on the image and color fade isn’t very deep it will be done in Basic Restoration
Advanced If there are lot of scratches on the image, it will be considered for advanced restoration

Step 1: Open the image in Adobe Photoshop in a new layer
Step 2: Scan the image with a high resolution of 600 DPI
Step 3: Click on Image -> Adjustement -> Desaturate to modify the color of the image
Step 4: Use Clone stamp tool to fill missing or faded color of the image
Step 5: Select Patch tool, target the scratch and drag it into a not damaged area to remove the scratches.
Step 6: The Patch tool is used until all scratches are removed.
