GÜNTHER offers a line of nozzles to meet the demands of modern day injection mould technology with a variety of melt channel diameters, nozzle lengths and gate geometries.

The different nozzle types, whether as a single nozzle or for multi-tip gating, allow you to realize any number of applications. Based on the modular design, individual parts, such as the heating element, sensor, material tube and nozzle tips, can be replaced. This offers great advantages when performing repairs and maintenance work (time savings, lower repair costs, less downtime).

The GÜNTHER standard hot-runner nozzles will sell themselves with their outstanding thermal separation afforded by the two-component shaft. This willl ensure excellent insulation in the front shaft area and thus very little heat loss between the hot-runner nozzle and the cavity. These nozzles are suitable for processing of heatsensitive materials, technical plastics, and high temperature polymers. With filled materials, such as glass fibres with heat stabilizers, wear-resistant heat conductor tips provide the best possible protection against mechanical and chemical attack. Standard hot-runner nozzles are available in the CADHOC® database.

Pressed-in 230 VAC (Volt Alternating Current) heating elements; the capacity depends on the size and length; easy to exchange.

21. Positive seal

When the hot-runner system is cold, there is no positive seal be-tween nozzles and manifold. It is necessary to reach operatingtemperature in order to seal the system.

2. Hot-runner nozzlea. In case of limited installation space, the nozzle head can be

flattened to fit the dimension W when using the following nozzle types: _HT, _HT2, _MT, _TT3

b. The hot-runner nozzles of the _MT, _TT3 type are notscrewed to the manifold.

c. To dismount the nozzle out of the cavity plate pleaseinsert a nozzle extractor tool, see chapter 8.2.

3. Pitch centersThe minimum pitch center depends on the nozzle type.If the nozzle heads are close together than a support piece is not necessary.

4. Gate bushingsGate bushings are used with open nozzles with tip and open nozzleswith gate without tip, see chapter 2.2.

In all cases, the _EF/ _ET2 nozzle type can be used only with a heated machine nozzle.

The _HT2 nozzle type can be used in combination with an AHJ heated adapter as a single nozzle for high tem-perature applications.

1) Heatstabilized, please contact us

2) Only nozzles for high tem-perature applications, no standard version.

3) Up to a shot weight of approx. 5 g per nozzle a titanium ring should be inserted under the nozzle head (nozzle type _MT).

4) For the processing of TPE in multiple cavity tools it is advisable to use valve-gate systems.

Notes

In single-nozzle systems the size of the lo- cating ring and screws has to compensate for the developing drive power. The pitch circle of the screws must be as small as possible.

The nozzles must be installed with an initial tension of 0.02 mm to 0.05 mm.

In all cases, the single-nozzle can be used only with a heated machine nozzle.

Thanks to the power and temperature con-nection, the nozzle is suitable for high-tem-perature applications.
