Multi-Pass Reverse Hot Rolling Process Simulation

Description:

A greater volume of metal is processed by rolling than by any other method. This work is

to investigate the non-uniform texture distribution,recrystallization, and grain growth

during multi-pass hot rolling.

Scientific Merit

Combining temperature and mechanical effects in the rolling model helpspredict the

texture development and stress state.

This requires a new model for recrystallization and grain growth.

Studying the heat treatments (reheating and spray quenching) by computer simulation

involved in rolling and their effects on the overall deformation is an uncharted territory.
