I think that I did a good job at writing my speech. I felt organized and confident with my speech. I think that I did the appropriate structure. I am very happy with what I have done with my speech.

I liked my opening how I did some startling facts at the start and then at the end told that they could help. I think it started well.

Use paragraphs effectively

I think I used the paragraphs effectively. They worked out good on the cue cards. There was a different point on each paragraph.

I think there was a good amount of detail in my writing not to much and not to little. It was good

Set out arguments and draw them to a conclusion effectively

I really liked my argument and what I said. And my conclusion came on effectively. I hope it made other people think what I thought about the poor children.

Self Assessment – Questionnaire 1. In what way(s) do you think you could have improved the delivery

of your speech? I think that could of improved on saying the speech a bit louder

and a bit more expressive . But besides that I am very happy with every thing

2. After watching everyone’s speech, what were some things that stood out in your mind?

3. The things that stood out in my mind were that every one was a bit nervous but all of them were very good. So that got me a bit nervous. I kind of had a felling that I would get in the finals.

4. How did you prepare for the speech?5. The way I prepared for the speech was to practice a lot and I

videoed my self to see what I was doing. PRACTICE ,PRACTICE AND MORE PRACTICE!!!!!!!

‘fantastic’ about your speech?The things that I thought was fantastic was the

quality of my writing and the way that I wrote it. I really liked the argument that I did.

5. How do you feel about giving speeches?The way I feel about giving speeches is sort of

scared but excited in a way. If I know that my speech is good I don’t worry about it to much and I felt that way with this one. I also felt very organized
