Homoeopathy is the science of therapeutics based on Law of Similia i.e. "Similia Similibus Curentur" means "Let likes be treated by likes". It signifies the treatment in which the prescription is based on the similarity of symptoms of the patient, to those of a drug as obtained during "Proving" of the drugs on healthy human beings.This system was discovered by the great German Physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
