M arc h 1, 2015 SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT

DEAR PARISHIONERS:

Dear Parishioners

The Cathedral is undergoing a sound system upgrade. One of theexisting amplifiers became erratic and sound delivery washampered in the choir loft and entrance. It is being replaced.

At the same time, new audio equalizer equipment is beinginstalled to help us have greater clarity and volume in all areas ofthe church. The difficulty is that the surfaces in Holy RosaryCathedral are hard - so sound waves can bounce around easilyand destructively influence each other (feedback). The manynooks and crannies add to this sound problem. New technologyis available to filter out some audio frequencies that are especiallyprone to feedback.

Some new speakers will be able to help us to achieve greaterclarity. Repositioning of other existing speakers will bring aboutmore volume without feedback problems.

The cost of all this work will be between $10,000 to 15,000 overthe coming months. We will make this project part of our ProjectAdvance case for 2015.

Thank you for your patience and support as we seek to improvethe sound system at our beloved Holy Rosary Cathedral.

And your act of service alone

makes me capable

of serving others.

As I follow your ways,

as you pour out your love for others

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION

Here I am!’ he answered.” – Genesis 22:11 It is easy to

say, “Here I am, Lord,” when we are kneeling in church.

Can we just as easily answer, “Here I am, Lord,” when we

go home, when a neighbor needs our help, when a fellow

parishioner asks us to join a committee, or when a letter

asks for our financial help? These are often exactly the

places where Jesus calls us to be.Stewardship Office, The Archdiocese of St. Louis,

(Mc

8, 32-33).

Agradecimiento

A Muy Rev.

Atentamente,

Comunidad Hispana en la Catedral de Ntra. Sra. del Santo

Rosario.
