STAFF

The School Day

The 3rd & 4th September all children will attend school

from 8.45am to 12:00pm.

Children will come into school through the Durham Street entrance.

Children will be collected from the Reception classrooms.

From 7th – 11th September all children will attend school from 8.45am to 1:15pm.

From 14th September all children will attend school every day from 8.45am to 3:05 pm.

Sensible shoes: No heels No open-toed sandalsBuckle or velcro straps are recommendedLaces for the children to learn how to tie

them

Uniform

PE:Dap bag, shorts/t-shirt can be ordered from the schoolDapsChildren to be able to put on/take off clothes for PEHair tied up for PE

MILK AND LUNCHES

MilkFree to children under fiveMilk is dealt with through a company called Cool MilkForms are available to register the children The company will invoice parents after registration once they are five Lists are updated and sent weekly to the school

School MealsFrom September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were entitled to free school mealsParents will need to complete a form to register for the mealMeals are provided by Pabulum and they are here this morning to provide ‘tasters’ after this meetingOrders can be made on a weekly or termly basis All orders must be made by Wednesday morning 9.00am for the following week.

The Breakfast Club will be available to all pupils and supervised by 2 members of staff.

The club is based in the school hall from 7.45am until the start of the school day during term time only.

The club provides children with a healthy breakfast, including cereals, fruit, toast and a drink. More options may be made available at different times of the year. Play activities are available after the children have finished their breakfast.

 The daily charge is £2.00.

Free School Meals are available to families who receive the following benefits:-

Income Support Income Based Jobseekers Allowance Guaranteed Pension Credit NASS Support under Part VI of the

Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 An Income-Related Employment and

Support Allowance Child Tax Credit, who do not receive

Working Tax Credit AND who have an annual taxable income of less than £16,190

MONEY

We are now using a parent pay system for most schoolevents and payments.

Parents will receive an activation letter to start their account.

Any money sent in to the school office for:Uniform

School events (when cash/cheque is requested)

Must be in an envelope marked with:Child’s nameClass numberThe amount, and What the money is for

ABSENCE

NO requests for holidays: holidays should be taken when the school is closed.

Illness:Notification of absence on first day by

telephone or email.

Baptism assemblies are held monthly Class assemblies are held during Spring and Summer Terms.

Letters advising you of your child’s assembly will be sent prior to the date

We welcome parental help in the class All helpers require a Disclosure Barring Service check
