(2) Students are required to make a project to study the behavior of various

short run economic costs of production

(TC,MC,ATC,TFC,TVC,AFC,AVC). For this they are encouraged to study

any one of the original working economic unit such as a dhaba, men/women

parlor /salon , ice cream parlor or a tuck shop, etc. Students are supposed to

10

show the relationship between various types of costs using diagrams and

schedules. Diagrams should be scaled and properly labelled.

13. GEOGRAPHY: Students have to perform social and economic survey to study human

development index and the situation of urban poverty. Make a group of five students and

prepare a questionnaire as per the CBSE guideline to collect the essential data prepare a hand

made file with graphical representation of poverty data. Provide the base map of the survey

region which can be downloaded from ISRO website.

STREAM: -SCIENCE

INTERNSHIP AND COMPULSORY COMMUNITY CONNECT PROGRAMME :

NOTE: As per CBSE guidelines, all the students are required to

constructively use their time during vacation by doing internship in any

organization /chemist shop /retail outlets or work under doctors, engineers,

CA , Advocates for a minimum period of 15 days or attend summer

hobby programmes at National Science Centre(New Delhi) in Robotics/

Biotechnology/Toy making based on scientific principles( for

information visit www.nscdelhi.org . The students must get experience

certificate clearly mentioning the area of work and days they interned.

Grades will be assigned based on the proof provided by the student. Proof

can be in the form of(work Experience certificate / letter / photograph etc.)

Community groups, clubs and organisations are an important part which

makes a society a great place to live. Helping people within the community

to connect with groups and organisations whether it be for the purpose of

recreation, support or services is also really important for an overall

development of individuals. Keeping this in view the students should

associate themselves with any one or multiple activities as mentioned

below—

students may work as an intern with an NGO and associate themselves

with an ongoing project and bring appropriate proof for the same.

Taking initiative to spread awareness and educating students belonging to

the less privileged section of the society by offering services in schools for

specially abled/ schools run by NGOs

Provide basic education to the domestic help by giving free coaching for

three hours a week.

Initiate plantation drives in the locality by planting stem root trees

(neem/peepal/banyan/mango/jamun/kalpvriksh etc) in your neighbourhood

with the view of creating a greener environment for local population.

Educate neighbours on how to divide /segregate biodegradable garbage

from the non biodegradable one

Visiting old age homes and spending quality time with the inmates.

– Educating people on the adverse effects of using plastics. Be a part of a

cleanliness drive and try to influence others to do the same

2

You may opt for any one activity or be a part of more than one. You need to maintain a progress chart and

keep pictures of your activities as evidences.
