NIEP (Highways) - Objectives

• To support all 9 RIEPs’ deliver a programme of sustainable cashable efficiency savings and service improvements

• To promote and publicise the work of the NIEP (Highways) Group and other best practice examples nationally in collaboration with other key stakeholders, eg. ADEPT and HELG

• To build on existing RIEPs’ and other key stakeholders’ work to provide a sector-led approach at a national level for local government on highways and transportation



To develop- business models for highways, particularly in relation To support all 9 RIEPs’ deliver a programme of sustainable cashable efficiency savings and service to :

- Efficiency- Procurement- Partnerships- Sustainability- Asset Management



To create a national sector-led “improvement and efficiency programme” that embraces collaboration and supports the development of best practice

To support and improve regional social issues including skills, capability and capacity within the sector

To strengthen and cultivate better supply chain management in highways and transport-related areaas, regionally and more locally.

To create a national organisation that successfully influences highways and transport policies at a local and national level and harness the contribution of the private sector.
