It has been a busy and productive semester for CSU’s International Studies Program! On Wednesday,
March 28, we hosted our fourth annual International Careers Panel. As in past years, this event repre-
sented a partnership among International Studies, the International Development Program, the Career
Center, and the Departments of Political Science and Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. It was a
great success, with over 90 students attending and a great lineup of panelists representing a range of careers, including interna-
tional teaching, translation, the non-profit sector, international consulting, and the US Department of State. The panelists
offered an overall positive message for International Studies ma-
jors, reminding us that skills such as knowledge of a foreign lan-
guage, critical thinking, and global cultural understanding are in-
creasingly important in our globalized and globalizing world. They
also offered some key pointers and advice for building your profes-
sional network and landing international jobs. In case you missed it,
you can view the video at this link: https://youtu.be/dRYdJ3rMkk0
