Higher Bandwidth for Wi-Fi Expansion The NetVanta Series of Gigabit switches provide higher bandwidth to support the most bandwidth intensive applications. The NetVanta 1600s Gigabit switches feature up to four 16 Gigabit links for a total of 128 Gbps of backplane capacity. These switches are perfect of new properties or for network upgrades and are ideal to support Wi-Fi expansion, data connectivity for digital signage, video conferencing and Gigabit-to-the-desktop deployments.
Port Capacity On-Demand The NetVanta 1600 Gigabit switches come with ActivChassis technology, which allows you to add port capacity on-demand by stacking up to 8 switches (400 ports) and manage them as a single virtual switch. And with the ability to centrally manage the ActivChassis stack distributed across multiple switch closets, the NetVanta switches simplify management and reduce operational costs.
VoIP-ready NetVanta switching solutions are VoIP-ready with Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS) features. In addition, they also offer Link Layer Discovery Protocol-Media Endpoint Discovery (LLDP-MED) to auto-discover and configure IP phones, making NetVanta switches ideal for use with VoIP applications.
Secure Networking The NetVanta Series of Ethernet Switches provides various lines of defense against common security threats. Denial of Service (DoS) protection identifies and blocks common network attacks. The Security audit dashboard identifies possible vulnerabilities to network security. Desktop security audit utilizes DHCP in conjunction with Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) protocol to monitor the health of client computers and ensure that systems connected to the network are using appropriate corporate policies, such as firewall and antivirus settings.
Power over Ethernet ADTRAN’s Ethernet switching solutions offer 802.3af, 802.3at and Legacy PoE. Now powering IP Phones, wireless access points, or video surveillance cameras have never been easier.
