Toronto Blue Jays Birthdays in October

On October 19, starting pitcher J.A. Happ will be celebrating his 31st birthday! Despite having been injured for most of the season, he finished strong and he is looking forward to making a healthy return for the 2013 season!

On October 28, catcher Josh Thole will turn 27 years old. Josh was traded to the Blue Jays from the New York Mets

in December 2012. Josh works primarily with R.A. Dickey to catch the knuckleball pitch.

On October 29, R.A. will celebrate turning 39 years old. This is the knuckleballer’s first year with the Blue Jays. In 2012, R.A. became the first knuckleball pitcher to win the Cy Young Award, which is an award given annually to the best pitchers in the league.

On October 19, Jose Bautista will be turning 33 years old. Even though he spent the last month of the season on the disabled list, Jose still hit

28 home runs, and made his fourth straight appearance at the MLB All-Star Game.

October 19 is a common birthday among Blue Jay players with Rajai Davis turning 33 years old on this day as well. Rajai is an incredibly fast outfielder, and lead the team this season with the most stolen bases. Congratulations Rajai!
