The teacher provides information to the students. The students circle the correct answers or fill in the blanks. 5. Group Activity Each lesson concludes with a group activity designed to give students a chance to practice the new structure in a less controlled situation. Group tasks may consist of class surveys, games, or dialogues. 6. Review and Fun Each lesson plan has one page to use for classroom review or as a homework activity. EASY GRAMMAR LESSONS

Teacher’s Notes

Aim: For students to learn or review some basic adjectives using the simple present.

New Vocabulary:tall/short

weak/strong young/old fat/thinbig/small heavy/light easy/difficult

Target Structures:

ß He is tall.

ß Is she young? No she isn’t. She is old.

Use the flashcards to elicit and check your students understanding of the vocabulary andtarget structures.If you would like tips on introducing or reviewing language, see our “introducing the targetstructure” in our Lesson section at esl-images.com page.

After you’ve gone over the vocabulary and target structures, hand out the worksheets. Writeall the new words and phrases on the board and have your students copy them down on page one.(They should write the new words below each image, and the new phrases in the notes section atthe bottom.)

Pair Work

Put the students in pairs and have them ask each other about the different people and objectsin the exercise. Tell them to circle the correct adjectives and then draw a picture. As a followup to this exercise you could have students write full sentences about their findings, or makestatements to the class.

Follow Up

When they are finished the pair work, have your students try the follow up activity to reviewtheir writing skills for this structure.
