developed several projects that have achieved environmental

certification.

In 2009, we developed a 360,800 square foot distribution center

for Crate & Barrel, the first to achieve LEED® Silver Certification

in North Carolina under the “New Construction” category.

Additionally, we completed an office laboratory for Quintiles

Transnational Corporation in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2008 which

was awarded a “Very Good” BREEAM rating, the equivalent of

a LEED® Gold Certification in the United States.

I had the pleasure of first working with The Keith Corporation

when we selected their firm to develop and own our 235,000

Sq. Ft. office and Phase I testing facility in Kansas City, Kansas.

It was a next to impossible schedule to fulfill, but they did a

fantastic job of delivering this four-story office building in 8.5

months and achieving the planned occupancy date. At the

successful completion of the Kansas City office building, we

selected The Keith Corporation to build a mission critical

laboratory facility in Edinburgh, Scotland.

From 2000 to 2009, TKC developed 11 buildings

comprising over 2.8 million square feet in the

Lincoln County Industrial Park in Lincolnton,

North Carolina and brokered the sale of over

485 acres. In addition, TKC managed the master

planning and development of nine phases of

county and state funded infrastructure for the

630 acre park.
