Ek het nou so lekker gelag, ek moet die storie met jou deel.

Mariana Gerber bel my nou, baie ontsteld. Sy loop nou al ’n tydjie met ’n houer HerbaPep in haar werksak vir iemand wat dit by haar bestel het.

Sy het op ’n tyd hierdie wakkerhou pilletjies uitgedeel as bemarking.

Gisteraand by die werk het sy iets in haar handsak gesoek en met groot ontsteltenis ontdek dat iemand homself met HerbaPep gehelp het. Ja, die dief het vir haar net 14 pilletjies gelos!

Dit wys jou net. HerbaPep werk! Hoekom sal iemand nou die risiko loop om gevang te word vir iets wat nie die moeite werd is nie?

Learning from the master

In August, I was privileged to attend a one-day course presented by Freek Robinson, teaching us

radio and television interviewing skills. Freek is a skilled radio and television presenter and posed some very controversial questions, which I had to handle in front of the camera while being fi lmed. As you can imagine, the fi rst try was a bit of a disaster, but later in the day I managed to remain cool, calm and collected – a great improvement on the fi rst attempt.

Cape Women’s Day

August was National Women’s Month and the girls in the Cape pulled out all stops to

present a wonderful Women’s Day on 9 August. Two-hundred women attended the morning, which must be an all-time HerbaZone record! On top of all this, approximately R10 000 was collected for the Alma du Toit

Centre, a home for retarded adults. Congratulations to Huipie Biermann and Estela Smith for a superb function.

I recently visited the Animal Farm of Odile Foster Greenwood, close to Salt Rock in KwaZulu-Natal.

Odile and her husband have an abundance of farm animals – all of them stray animals – which they care for and nurture. Their love for these animals is shared with the public, and many schools and toddlers visit this farm on a daily basis to learn more about the animals. You can even try your hand at milking a cow if you’re not too squeamish! Best of all, Odile tells me that she hardly uses anything else but HerbaZone products to keep her animals in perfect health.

Ursula takes to the skiesIn August this year the 87 Helicopter Flying School of the SA National Defence Force invited me to the deployment of their helicopters in the Drakensberg. New pilots were being taught to do treacherous and dangerous berg rescues.

The skilled pilots fl ew a group of us in an Oryx helicopter 9 000 feet up into the mountain and landed

on a ledge in a gorge barely 100 feet wide. This narrow ledge, called Vulture’s Retreat, is an alcove in the Champagne Castle area at the top of the Dragon’s back.

Vulture’s Retreat is situated among sheer cliff faces spanning through 270 degrees, leaving a narrow entrance approximately 100 feet below the fi rst waterfall. This unusual and breathtaking ecological system has the effect of funneling the wind and, depending on its direction, causes treacherous fl ying conditions of rapid up and down draughts, standing waves and extreme turbulence.

Even under calm conditions, due to the high density altitude and ever-present wind, above-average

fl ying skills are required to negotiate a safe passage into and out of the landing spot. The combination of fl ying skills and nerves of steel forms the foundation required for the many spectacular rescues performed by the South African Air Force.

We were able to spend about an hour on this ledge with breathtaking views and vultures circling high in

the sky. Apart from the splash of the waterfall, the quietness was almost eerie. From the ledge, we were picked up again and transferred even higher up, to the plateau on top of the berg, where an indulgent picnic with champagne and smoked trout awaited us. It was certainly one of the highlights of my entire life.

Uit die briewebusDie spreekwoord sê mos die sterkste gif kom in die kleinste botteltjies en dit is presies wat ek ondervind het. My ma het ’n lelike eelt onder haar voet gehad wat haar baie ongemak en pyn gegee het. Dit is veroorsaak deur ’n erg-misvormde groottoon agv artritis. Gevolglik is sy gedoem tot oop sandale wat weer skurwe tone tot die gevolg het.

Ek het so dikwels moontlik met ’n vyl en skerp dingetjies stukke daarvan afgeskraap om haar net meer gemaklik te laat loop. Toe skiet Jojoba olie my een dag te binne en ons het elke aand ’n druppel daarop gesit en dit effens ingevryf. Ons het ook sommer die tone bygedam.

Na een maand het ek ’n groot verskil opgemerk en na twee maande was dit selfs meer merkbaar. Die eelt is nie weg nie (nog nie), maar die ongemak is iets van die verlede. Dit is toe werklik die klein botteltjie wat mens maklik miskyk wat so ’n groot verligting gebring het. Probeer dit gerus vir eelte en alles wat pla.

Teen my nek, het ek nou die dag opgemerk, het ’n vrat begin groei. Dit was opsigtelik en het my gepla. Ek het eers met Rekonstruksie-room gesmeer, maar toe besef dat Teeboomolie die aktiewe bestanddeel is. Na ’n paar keer se aansmeer is die vrat iets van die verlede. Begin met Teeboomolie so vroeg as jy kan en die vrat sien baie gou sy einde.

My kleinkind van so byna sewe maande, het ’n aanpaksel op sy kop wat sy ouers met olie gesmeer het en dan probeer het om dit af te krap. Ek het dit een maal met Jojoba badolie ingesmeer, ’n uur gewag en toe sy haartjies met Herbaguard-sjampoe gewas. Dit het heeltemal verdwyn en ons sal dit nou meer gereeld daarmee was.

Hi julle,

Wil net hierdie met julle deel. Een van my kollegas het ’n hele rukkie terug ’n erge verkoue gehad wat oorgegaan het in bronchitis. Ek beveel toe die Herbal Antibiotic aan. Sy

is egter van daardie mense wat jy behoorlik moet oortuig, want sy laat haar nie sommer ompraat in iets nie. Sy het dit toe uiteindelik gekoop maar kon nie juis sê of dit toe die verkoue genees het nie, want sy was toe al amper klaar met haar derde reeks nie-herbale antibiotika van die dokters.

’n Rukkie later bel sy my en vra of die pille wat sy by my gekoop het ook vir haar blaasinfeksie sal help. Ek beveel toe Cranberry Kapsules ook aan, maar sê ek is seker dit moet help en dat sy solank daarvan moet drink. Sy vra toe meer inligting oor die Cranberry Kapsules en ek stuur dit aan. Aangesien ek toe geen bestelling vir die Cranberry kapsules gekry het nie, het ek aangeneem dat sy seker maar dokter toe is, soos die meeste mense mos maar doen.

Sy bel my nou net en sê, “Ek wil net vir jou sê daardie pille wat jy verkoop is fantasties! Niks wat ek nog ooit gebruik het, het so gou gehelp vir my blaasinfeksie nie, en ek kry dit gereeld.” Hoe is daai vir jou? Ek was so bly dat ek iemand kon help en baie, baie trots op HerbaZone.

Dear HerbaZone distributor,

In response to your concerns regarding price increase of HerbaZone products, let me assure you that this was not done to earn more profi t for the company, but rather to cover the increase in raw materials and packaging. The recent oil and petrol price increases which we, and the whole country, have had to endure over the last year or so, have had a large impact on all sectors.

As far as the ‘top people’ making a smaller profi t is concerned, let me assure you that this is the case within our organisation. At head offi ce there are no hangers-on or deadwood. They run with the smallest staff I have ever seen in a company of HerbaZone’s size. Each and every one of them does more than what is expected of them. Your remark about why the purchaser must always be the one to pay when the prices go up, I do not quite understand. Who should pay for it?

I cannot remark about why the company Charmzone has had no increase, in fact I have never heard of them or their products!

I would like to share with you some of the increases in products since 2000 and where we stand in the market in comparison.

By the above examples you will see that we are well below the percentage increase of everyday commodities all affected by the oil price, interest rates etc.

People will always have an excuse not to buy something. But the reality is that if a product is good and it works for them they will continue using it no matter what the cost is. New customers will not be affected by the increase, as they are fi rst-time users and do not have knowledge of previous prices.

I am positive about the future of HerbaZone. If we can retain our increases to a minimum, without affecting sales, then we will continue to increase our sales year by year, such as has been the case up to now.

I would not like to see you give up on HerbaZone as I value your custom and input.
