Well done Andy, our fi nancial advisor, who ran his fi rst London Marathon in a swift 5hrs, and raising £2,000 for the local Livewire Youth Project and £473 for NSPCC. Thanks to everyone who supported him, and be ready to do so again next year!
Not to be outdone, Steve Moir, Dave Jackson and Andy Russell are taking part in a 5 day, 350 mile cycle from Kent to Lympstone in Devon in aid of ‘Help our wounded Royal Marines’. We’d appreciate any donations either in our offi ce or at justgiving.com/teams/coastal-commando

Have a very happy summer, and of course if you’d like any advice at all with selling or letting in the Saltash area, please give us a call.
Not content with buyers coming to us, we decided to go to them – at the Distinctly Westcountry Property Exhibition in London, on 15th May.
Showcasing Saltash’s fi nest property stock in London was a huge success. We spoke to plenty of Londoners looking to relocate to Devon and Cornwall and still more looking for second homes.
And the London marketing of our properties continues – at the Distinctly Westcountry W1 offi ce, just around the corner from Marble Arch, as well as at www.distinctlywestcountry.co.uk
New rules have come into force for mortgage applications, called the Mortgage Market Review (or MMR).
Now, all prospective borrowers will be questioned in depth about their spending habits, and bank and credit card statements will be looked at carefully. This means that now your spending – not just your income – may well affect how much
you’re allowed to borrow and on what terms.
So if you are thinking of buying or selling at any point, it is worth getting your fi nances in order several months prior to making a mortgage application, and we’d recommend a chat with our independent fi nancial adviser Andy Moir at the earliest opportunity.
