Memorial Day Prayer

Dear Lord, on this day, we remember those who have

served us by protecting our freedoms. When we celebrate

our long weekend with our friends and family, help us re-

member, that our freedom to speak of you and our freedom

to worship you and our freedom to do that which we ought

to do, have all been brought at the price and sacrifice of

many lives. Your Son died for our eternal life in heaven. So

too, your children died protecting us here on earth. Help us

be mindful this weekend and always of the sacrifices made

by those in uniform for all our freedoms. Amen.

Choir Changes

It is with sadness that we announce that Rose

McGrath, who has been our organist and choir

director for the past 2 years, will be leaving us

at the end of June. Rose is preparing for mar-

riage and will be moving out of the area. Rose

has done a truly exceptional job as the organist

and choir director, and we thank her for all her

hard work over these past 2 years.

With joy, we also announce that at the begin-

ning of July, Luke Ponce will begin as the new

organist and choir director. Luke is a recent

graduate from the Franciscan University of

Steubenville. We welcome Luke to our parish

and look forward to his work with us.

A note from the Choir Director:

It has been a joy and a blessing to work as the

organist and choir director here at St Peter’s for

nearly two years now. This summer I am mov-

ing to upstate New York to get married. My last

weekend at St Peters will be June 30th.

Thank you all for giving me a wonderful time

here at St Peter’s. God bless you! Rose
