HDFC LIFE – NEW ZEAL PROJECT

Mission:

Our mission is to provide the best in-home care services and caregivers to seniors. We use the

feedback we collect during the quality improvement process to improve our services, policies, training,

on-going strategic planning. We are passionate about providing excellence in our care for them whom

we serve as family.

What is New Zeal?

With the socio-cultural shift in the society triggered by increasing popularity of nuclear families coupled

with individuals venturing away from their native for career opportunities, there is a void created in the

life of parents/senior citizens. This void creates a big question mark on – who takes care of the day-

today needs (not restricted to medical care) that may not require skilled support but are generally

catered to by own children.

New Zeal, an initiative by HDFC Life aims at bridging this with the help of technology and a skilled

team of individuals who believe in this cause. We have focused on building a technology platform that

supports the team of "Specialists - Elder Care" and empowers them to do the best job possible, at the

same time creating transparency for families so that they can see what 's happening real time in

home.

How is working at New Zeal different?

New Zeal is a venture of HDFC Life -one of the most trusted brands in the industry. With our expertise

in leveraging technology and attracting skilled talent, we believe that we would be able to make a

difference and bridge the gap caused by the absence of a near and dear one.

The services that we offer our clients are unique in the market and do not involve full time nursing

and being an attendant to the client, such services would be fulfilled through third party service

providers.

Finding, believing and having personalized yet quality care for them who matter most for you, can be

an enormous challenge but with NEW ZEAL all these worries seem small.

Current status of New Zeal:

Currently we are working with 271 senior citizen families across chennai & have addressed more than

700 services (providing physical & moral support) to our registered clients.

Our team knows how to deal with a loved one with a declining health. For your family betterment, you

can trust NEW ZEAL to provide the assistance you need to care and keep your loved ones comfortable

with their situation in your absence.

The services we provide are done through trained/skilled care specialist for a better quality of care.

There is no such exchange or compulsion from the company that the registered senior citizens should

take Insurance policy or bank account with us post registration. New Zeal is purely a service based

project by HDFC LIFE for senior citizen. And also the registered customers has the option to withdraw

from the project if they feel the services does not meet their expectations.

About the Team:

The team members recruited are direct employees of HDFC LIFE – New Zeal project. There is no third

party engaged along with HDFC LIFE. These care specialists are trained social workers, and they are

from Master of social work background. The care specialist are rich with experience in various National

& International NGO’s working with children’s, youth’s, senior citizens, Rural community, CSR project.

The team members has undergone various verification process including police verification, Local

neighbours, previous organizations and verified directly by HDFC LIFE team before engaging in the

project.

The Idea of sharing the project is to gain support from the Institution/Associations who work along for

senior citizens, thereby for us to reach out more senior citizens out there, whom might require these

kinds of services.
