How did you get into modeling? Before I began modeling, I actually despised the idea of it. I believed all of the stereotypes about people in this industry and in New York and I didn’t want any part of it. I used to participate in theatre, doing shows at community theatres and at school, school, so I came to the conclusion that I wanted to be a film actor. I began doing commercial photo-shoots for this, to get my headshots, and to send to the talent agencies.. After doing this quite a few times, I realized that I liked doing the photoshoots more than I even liked acting. .

What is your favorite part of modeling?

II honestly love everything about it, but the aspect that sticks out to me the most is the environment in general. I have always been a free-spirit. I love for things to be ever-changing. While modeling, I never see a day that is the same as the day before. Every day thatthat I work, I get to learn something new, meet someone new, wear some-thing new…there’s something new

How are you able to manage school and friends with your work schedule?

every day. It’s also an honor to be able to be a mannequin for the ex-pression of people’s minds. Unfortu-nately, I was not blessed with artistic genes, so the idea of me being able to enjoy the artwork of others and WEAR it is just so incredible to me.

Because my plan was to eventually be able to model in New York and all over the world, school was definitely an issue for me. I eventually made the decision to graduate a year and a half early. That was a difficult deci-sion to make because though it meantmeant I could easily pursue my career, it also meant that I would not be able to finish and graduate from high school with the people I’ve grown up with, go to prom, or be there for my friends as they experi-ence all of this as well. As for my friends, I have always had a firm belief that the people who want to be there for you will be. After finishing up school, I have been able to figure out who my true friends are, and I be-lieve that these are the same people who will stick with me to the end. Though I have to risk time away from them for my career, my best friends understand and support me through
