A Welcome from our Chamber President
On behalf of the Harrison Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors, Officers, and Staff, it is my
privilege to welcome you to Harrison!
Founded in 1891 as a rail and timber town, the City
of Harrison is the seat of Clare County and is
close to the junction of US-127 and M-61.
Said to have been named after U.S. President William Henry Harrison, the city
boasts a population of 2,114 residents. Harrison is home to many beautiful
sights, and is bordered along its eastern side by Budd Lake. In fact, Harrison is
within 20 minutes of 20 different lakes! This makes it a paradise for outdoor
enthusiasts of all ages. Our beautiful City and its surrounding acres of state
land is perfect for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, ORV trips,
and a whole lot more.
Whether you are a resident of Harrison, or are here to explore and play, I am
sure that you will be drawn in by the charm and serenity that Harrison has to
offer. Harrison is a very special place that you will want to return to again and
again - a place where you and your family will make memories that will last a
lifetime.

The Harrison Area Chamber of Commerce's mission is
to provide members an environment where businesses,
organizations, and communities can be successful and
enhance the quality of life in Clare County. We are
committed to this mission by:
Promoting the businesses and communities it serves through advertising and by organizing events that will draw individuals to Clare County
Partnering with the Harrison Area Economic Development Corporation to strengthen the economic viability of Clare County
Providing a referral source to prospective citizens/businesses on data pertinent to Clare County.
Our Mission will be realized through an ongoing partnership with our members, board of directors, Harrison Area Economic Development Corporation, local/state government, volunteers and the public we serve.
