The hotel was last renovated with a strong Prairie School spirit, reflecting the rich history embedded in Chicago. This association to Chicago Art was still a desired theme to the owners, but we chose to reflect a more cosmopolitan richness via the art from MOCA and The Art Institute of Chicago. The interiors were dramatically brightened and the eclectic array of furnishings successfully blended the 21st century to the interior architecture of the 20th century.

Project Completion: Apr 2009Given the close proximity to O’Hare International Airport, this project had to especially consider traffic as well as the climate element inherent in the Midwest. Given hectic travel schedules and the stress of changing plans, we chose to bring the lobby to a single level, enhancing the ease of traffic flow and circulation. The bright colors combined with hi-durability products helps to keep this lobby looking fabulous under the most strenuous of conditions.

Swansboro is a beautiful and historic waterfront community located at the mouth of the White Oak River, where the river joins the Atlantic Ocean. It was important to reflect the casual lifestyle of the community in this hotel which was achieved through the use of river wood tables, rich and vibrant colors, and an array of coastal artwork. Swansboro is known as the “Friendly City by the Sea” and the Hampton Inn Swansboro

fits in beautifully.

The Hampton Inn Chambersburg is a superb example of effective team collaboration. The team approach consisted of High Construction (Lancaster, PA), Greenfield Architects (Lancaster, PA), American Hotel and the owner’s representative. Our scope of work consisted of Procurement, Project Management, Freight Management and Logistics, as well as FF&E Installation services. The result of this team environment is a hotel renovation project that was completed on time and on budget.
