Hampstead is a highly sought after area known for its intellectual, artistic, musical and literary associations. The area has retained most of its village atmosphere and charm and offers its occupants excellent cultural attractions such as Freud Museum, Keats House and the picturesque Kenwood House – featured in the film Notting Hill and also home to many open-air concerts, Hampstead Heath with its stunning parklands and public swimming pools. The village also has a great selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and boutiques. With easy access into central London via bus, train or underground (Northern Line), or just a short drive by car, the location is perfect for those commuting into the city.

We continue to have a very strong year with the number of deals increasing by 9% over this time last year. Applicant numbers remain strong but one note of caution is the amount of stock on the market which is 86% higher than in October 2012.

While rental price growth has slowed somewhat this year, and in some price brackets actually decreased, I predict that the demand for properties will stay strong into 2013 as renting remains a popular option for people.

England's Lane in Belsize Park is a lively, vibrant street with cafés, restaurants and a quality pub, and is just a short walk from Primrose Hill - just a very "in" place to live right now.

73% of the new tenancies we have agreed this year have been under £1,000 per week which strongly illustrates that properties in the core market are in demand at present.
