Below is an easy to follow guide to setting up Bluetooth® on your Superb. This will enable you to make and receive calls without touching the handset. Functions such as using your phone book are all accessible via the steering wheel and maxi dot (and stereo or satellite navigation unit) system.

Guide to setting up and using Bluetooth®

Step 1 - Turn on and activate Bluetooth®

On your mobile phone, use the Bluetooth® settings menu to activate Bluetooth®.

Step 2 - Pair your mobile phone with your New Superb

New Superb needs to communicate (Pair) with your mobile phone. This can be done by using the controls on the steering wheel.

• Click once on the arrow button on the right handside of the steering wheel to access Main Menu.

• Using the Scroll wheel on the steering wheel scroll down to ‘Phone’ and click.

• Scroll to ‘Device search’ and click the scroll wheel. The Bluetooth® on Superb will now search for your mobile phone.

• Your SIM will register in the system. • You now need to create your user profile. This isdone by clicking the scroll wheel.

• The system will automatically find your phonesBluetooth® user name. (NB If you do not have auser name set, the default will be the manufacturer’shandset name).

• Once the system has found your mobile phone, it will prompt you to enter a 16 digit password.

• Your mobile phone will ask you if you wish to pair,click ‘Accept’ *. If your phone needs a pin enteringwhen you turn it on, you will need to enter this pinhere (on the Superb maxi dot display). Scroll throughthe numbers individually to select the pin, and clickthe wheel after each number, then scroll to ‘OK’ andclick the wheel.

• Follow the prompts on your phone and enter the 16 digit password as it appears on the screen e.g. 5555666677778888.

• Accept user profile by clicking the scroll wheel. • If you need to amend the profile name, scroll to thename, adjust the letters and accept by scrolling andclicking the scroll wheel.

• Your user profile will then be created in the Superb system.

• The system will then register your phone and profile information on the maxi dot and media unit.

*NB Please note: When you first pair your phone with the Bluetooth® system, your phone may prompt you toconnect automatically every time you get in to the car. If you accept this function that phone will be the onlyphone that can be paired to the Bluetooth® system. Even the phone menu will be unavailable until the specificphone is paired again.

• Select ‘User’ by clicking the scroll wheel.

• Enter the phone menu by clicking the scroll wheel. • Enter the ‘Bluetooth®’ menu by clicking the scroll wheel.

• Scroll to ‘Delete’ and click the wheel. The pairing willnow be deleted.

• Once in the phone menu scroll to ‘Bluetooth®’.

• Enter the phone menu by clicking the scroll wheel. • Select ‘Phone book’ from the menu by clicking thescroll wheel.

• Scroll through the phone book until you reach thename of the contact you would like to call.

• Click the scroll wheel to select the contactthen click again to call.

Deleting a pairing

If you need to delete a phone from the Bluetooth® memory follow the steps below:

• Select name of the paired phone you wish to remove and select by clicking the scroll wheel.

Mobile phones compatible with the Bluetooth® system

Mobile phones on the ‘3’ network are incompatible with the Bluetooth® phone preparation on Superb. The phones on ‘3’are unable to switch to rSAP mode and will therefore not work on this system.

• Select the desired contact by pressing the contactname on the touchscreen.

Please be aware that the Bluetooth® system is a very easy system to use but phone calls should only be made when it is safe and legal to do so.

• Press again to call.

• Access the phone menu by pressing the ‘Phone’ button on the left of the screen.

• The phone book will appear on the screen, scroll tothe name of the contact you would like to call.

• To access the ‘Phone book’ press the ‘Phone book’button in the bottom right hand corner of the touchscreen.

Phone book can also be accessed on the media system

The ‘Phone book’ function is also available on the media system
