He has also lent his voice to video games including Call of Duty, Mafia 3, and tom Clancy’s Endwar. aLiSSa wiLkinSon Chief Film Critic at Christianity today, assistant Professor of english and Humanities at the king’s College in nYC, and author of How to Survive the Apocalypse: Zombies, Cylons, and Politics at the End of the World, co-written with Robert Joustra (eerdmans, 2016).

    DRew DeRnaviCH Regular cartoonist for the New Yorker magazine since 2002. His cartoons have also appeared in TIME, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, the Boston Globe, Narrative, Longshot Magazine, and the comics anthology Flight. He just published his first children’s book, It’s Not Easy Being the Number Three (Christy ottaviano Books/Henry Holt, 2016).

    JaSon RoBeRtS Currently in the Global Strategic Marketing group at Johnson & Johnson, with responsibility for the cardiovascular surgery business. Jason holds a Ba from vanderbilt University, and an MBa from the University of Miami.

  • Fifty high school juniors will be invited to join a special six-month program to get closer to God and determine how best to serve and advocate for social justice in the world. the program will span six months, with the commitment of a spring and a fall weekend retreat and a seven-day residential Spirituality and Society Summer Program at Caldwell University.

    OverniGht Weekend MaY 20-22 • archdiocesan Retreat House, kearny, nJ

    At this retreat, participants will learn: • What an obstacle course can teach us about leadership. • How medieval thinking about spirituality is relevant for

    our lives in the 21st century. • How journaling can help us become better

    communicators and help us discern what to do with our lives.

    • Through first-hand experience, how activities such as basketball, volleyball, and kickball are great ways to develop leadership traits.

    spirituality and sOciety summer prOGram JULY 16-22 • Caldwell University, Caldwell, nJ

    Seven days of thinking deeply about our lives and the things we do on a day-to-day basis. What does it look like for us to eat, drink, dress, shop, watch, play, and love in ways that help and heal those around us as well as foster health and happiness in our own lives? Mornings and evenings will be spent in discussion and afternoons will consist of free time and organized events. Mornings: Day 1 – Check in and activities Day 2 – Entertainment and technology Day 3 – Food and drink Day 4 – Fashion and expression Day 5 – Relationships - family, friends, pets, etc. Day 6 – Relationships - strangers, enemies, etc. Day 7 – Debrief and departure

    afternoons: The Turtle Back Zoo, canoeing at the Essex County Environmental Center, attending a local baseball game, ice cream social, and exploring a labyrinth.

    OverniGht Weekend oCt. 7-10 • archdiocesan Retreat House, kearny, nJ At this retreat, participants will learn: • The key to identifying their leadership gifts and how to

    discern what practices will help them develop these gifts and achieve their goals as leaders.

    • The history and value of a Rule of Life and how to write a Rule of Life.

    • What the common good is and how each of us can uniquely make a contribution to it.

    • How to earn a spirituality or leadership digital badge that you can put on a resume or LinkedIn profile.
