CARBON DISCLOSURE PROJECT

HCP par t ic ipate in the Carbon Disc losure Project (CDP) which dr ives corporate t ransparency and

the measurement of environmental act ion. HCP had an outs tanding score of level B for 2018,

which is two levels above the general average and Asia regional average of score level D.

In 2018, 7,000 companies disc losed via CDP. HCP Packaging are proud to be awarded in March 18

an Honors Cer t i f icate as a ‘2017 Leading Suppl ier ’ for corporate act ion on c l imate change in China.

ECOVADIS CSR RATING

For 2018, HCP were awarded the Silver

CSR rating by Ecovadis, a trusted partner for

procurement teams whose mission is to provide

the world’s most-trusted sustainability ratings,

enabling all businesses to reduce risk, drive

MAKE UP UNIVERSITYFORMULATION CHALLENGE

BRAND & SUPPLIER COLLABORATIONHCP were pleased to col laborate in 2018 for the ‘Make Up Univers i ty Formulat ion

Chal lenge’, led by the research laborator y of brand Make Up For Ever. The project

chal lenged s tudents at f ive schools and univers i t ies special is ing in cosmet ics

formulat ion to generate ideas on the theme of ‘Connected Beauty and Mul t i - funct ion. ’

The candidates were evaluated by exper ts f rom Make Up For Ever’s depar tments of research and

innovat ion, design, market ing, development and human resources. The f inal is ts ’ concepts were judged

on innovation and technical aspects; with the most impressive projects awarded prizes such as: immersion

wi thin Make Up For Ever laborator y, make-up training/sess ions, product k i t s or a company vis i t .

Carol ine Gui l l ien was in an apprent iceship at SACI CFPA and for her ‘Sel f ie - Retouch Pale t te ’

concept, needed to incorporate a palet te wi th a wide number of pans to accommodate mul t i -product .

The recent ly completed construct ion of the expanded HCP-RUSI European faci l i ty, in

Bechhofen, Germany, has s igni f icant impact on HCP’s global manufactur ing s t rategy wi th

increased product ion capaci ty, reducing lead t imes in injec t ion moulding and supply.

The increased leve l of au tomat ion achieved wi th newly ins ta l led machiner y of fers a cos t e f fec t ive

manufactur ing so lu t ion wi th in Europe. The ex tended faci l i ty opt imises a global synergy of technologies;

s igni f icant ly the des ign, development and manufacture of l ip g loss and mascara, incorporat ing twis ted-

wire brush product ion and plas t ic brush assembly. There is now increased moulding capaci ty wi th a

substantial EU regional faci l i ty for decoration, while adding a wide range of stock packs to the HCP por t fol io.

a pack or beneath a transparent dome for

added depth. The f inal f inish can be matt

or sof t touch and the pattern is completely

MULTI-COLOURED INTERSTELLAR

The f inely splat tered ‘ Inters tel lar’ ef fect is

now available with mul t i -coloured f lecks.

Select preferred shades in standard or pearl

inks to add extra shimmer. The randomised

GRANITE EFFECT

With a trend for ‘natural ef fect’ packaging

continuing to prove popular, this ‘Granite’

spray f inish gives the look of textured stone and

can be adapted to a variety of colourways.

SAND SPRAY

To add tacti le appeal, this heat -cured

spray f inish adds a subt le feel of sand to

the sur face of the pack. The f inish can be

achieved on a wide select ion of colours.

Lip Gloss in ‘Palm Beach’ each feature a

creative print ing technique to the cap: a bright ly

coloured screen printed str ipe along the ver t ical

radius. For ‘Palm Beach’ two colours have been

applied to opposi te edges for a fun touch.

GLITTER SPRAY

shows no sign of abating, so HCP are always

looking for new and interest ing ways to apply

gl i t ter to a pack. Here, the pink gli t ter spray

has been applied to the double-walled HCP-

RUSI l ip gloss in ‘Dolce Disco’ (VK183/

FL185) to achieve a layered ef fect to the pack,

fur ther enhanced with a gold foi l pat tern.

HOLOGRAPHIC EFFECT ON ALUMINIUM

Colour- f l ip or inter ference f inishes are st i l l hot

proper ty; here the Magnum Slim Ful l Size Lipst ick

has been anodised with a pink or clear holographic

spray on top. The combination of the cool touch

of aluminium with this mesmerising f inish wil l
