PROJECT: GREENWICH HIGH SCHOOL LOCKER ROOM RENOVATIONS AND RELATED WORK
F&D PROJECT NO. 17301.00 BID NO. 2207-18
The attention of Bidders submitting proposals for work on the GREENWICH HIGH SCHOOL, LOCKER ROOM RENOVATIONS AND RELATED WORK is called to the following Addendum to the Contract Forms and Specifications.
The items set forth herein, whether of omission, addition, substitution or clarification are to be included in and form a part of the proposal submitted. This Addendum is hereby included in and made a part of the Contract Documents, dated MAY 17, 2018, whether or not attached thereto. All requirements of the original project specifications and drawings shall remain in force except as amended by this addendum.
This Addendum contains changes to the requirements of the Contract Documents. Such changes shall be incorporated into the contract Documents and shall apply to the work with the same meaning and force as if they had been included in the original documents. Wherever or any portion of a drawing, the remainder of the paragraph or drawing affected shall remain in force.
The conditions of the Specifications shall govern all work described in this Addendum. Wherever the conditions of work and the quality or quantity of materials or workmanship are not fully described in this Addendum, the conditions of work, etc., described by the Specifications or drawings for similar items of work shall apply to the work described in this Addendum.
DATE: May 29, 2018 This Addendum consists of three (3) pages and twelve (12) attachments.
THE FOLLOWING ARE MODIFICATIONS, CLARIFICATIONS, AND AN ADDITION TO THE DRAWINGS: MODIFY “GENERAL NOTES:” ON ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS; A150, A151, A160 ALT-1, A161 ALT-2 and A162 ALT-3
ADD: 4. 5% OF NEW LOCKERS SHALL BE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. MODIFY “WORKSCOPE NOTES (KEYED):” ON ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS; A150, A151, A160 ALT-1, A161 ALT-2 and A162 ALT-3
ADD: WS13 REMOVE FLOOR TILE. MAKE 12" HIGH CONCRETE BASE, TO MATCH EXISTING FOR RELOCATED SALVAGED LOCKERS. REINSTALL LOCKERS AND SLOPPED TOP AS INDICATED. REFER TO DETAIL 3/A800, SIMILAR. INSTALL TWO (2) SALVAGED BENCHES AS INDICATED.

Please clarify the school of work for the ceilings in the women's room for base and alternate #1. The A-100/A-200 and the E-100/E-200 drawings have different scopes base vs. alternate
The scope of work for the Base Bid and Alternates shall be as delineated on the Architectural plans.

Floor demo Demo A-150
Plans call for removal of existing sections of floor slab (Note R15 on A-150) How thick is the existing slab? and how far below the slab do the plumbing lines sit? Is this section of the building a slab on grade or are their tunnels under the lockerroom?
According to existing drawings provided by the District, the concrete slab in the locker rooms should be 4" thick with #3 rebar @ 18" O.C. each way. We are not aware of documentation stating the depth of the plumbing below the slab. We are not aware of any tunnels under the locker rooms slab.

Temporary partitions September work A-150
Will a drawing be issued detailing the where temporary partitions will be required if work extends into September? Will the board of education consider allowing a block wall opening in the womans shower room 704.1 to provide access to both the womans and mens room if works has to be finished in September?
The temporary partition shall be a combination of District, Contractor and Architect discussion, also based on the Contractors progress of work by late August 2018. Yes, leaving a toothed block wall opening seems reasonable to allow access. Later closure of same to match adjacent surfaces will be required.
