The first paper recycling unit was

set up at the premises of Delhi

Secretariat to recycle paper that is

scrapped from the office of the

Government of NCT of Delhi.

The technology is custom

designed by TARA Machines.

This pioneer initiative is

supported by Department of

Environment, Government of

NCT of Delhi. Using waste

paper, a variety of good quality

handmade paper is produced by

Delhi is the pioneer state in India for generating awareness amongst students for

recycling paper waste generated in their schools into usable paper. TARA Mini Paper

Recycling units have beeninstalled inover a100Schools inDelhi.

visually handicappedmen and wom en using

TARA P ap erM ek R ecycling System .

National Institute for Visually Handicapped (NIVH) at Dehradun is a

pioneer in providing livelihood skills to visually handicapped individuals. TARA

Machines has provided them with the Technology, Machinery, Know - how and

Training forPaper and Product Making. At the institute, waste brail paper is recycled to

produce high quality paper and utility based paperproducts.

AIDS efiected womenlaunched by

Arnbuja Cement Foundation.TARA PapeMek Recycling System is deployed by Ambuja Cement Foundation- the

CSR body of Ambuja Cement in Punjab to create livelihoods and skill building

opportunities for AIDS effected women. Unskilled women had many difficulties

finding gainful employment. With the help of TARA PaperMek Recycling Systems,

these women are recycling waste paper and converting it into office stationary products

which are treated asprized possessions in the offices ofAmbuja Cement.

Corporations use TARA PaperMek Recycling Systems to provide opportunit ies forgenerating employment to underprivileged groups and communities. NGOs across the

country such as Friends ofVrindavan, THREADS, Kalyanmayee, Samarthanam and

many others are part ofthis endeavor.

Method ....At time of Calendering, place dried leaves on

the handmade paper sheet, uniformly scattered.

Thenmake the handmade paper, sandwiched

between two metal sheets that roll

forward and backward inthe machine.Oncethe calendering isdone, the leaves should be

taken out; leaving behind their impression on

the paper

Paper of minimum 150gsm paper

....MethodIn the tray, mix colour and water in the ratio

of 1:2(i.e. mix SOgramsof colour in 100litre of

water.)

Then place the handmade paper sheet in the tray

filled with water and crumple it in water itself.

Take the paper out and after straightening, put it

for drying to get the stonewash effect.

Templates for simple products are provided with

every technology pack. Use these to get the

appropriate folding and cutting lines on your sheet of

paper. These lines will be similar to the pattern givenabove.

Fold along the lines and finally paste the edges

together. Leave the top edges intact, asthere are holes

provided for inserting arope to handle the bag.
