GRAND CANYON

• Grand Canyon located in the

southwest of the US in state of Arizona for a total area of 4,933 km square.

• Grand Canyon is 460 km long, 30 km wide and more than 1.6 km deep

• Park falls under the Colorado Plateau that lies in the four states. (Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico).

• Canyon created by Coloredo River for millions years.• The upper part of the park consists scarred

landscape, in which stands the individual rocks falling to the valley.

• The canyon floor consists of 2 billion years old slate (břidlice). That is why there are cactuses and agaves.

• Park leads 23 miles long road.• Every year the Grand Canyon has 5 million visitors.

Grand Canyon Skywalk• Grand Canyon Skywalk is a glass

bridge over a mile gorge and which extends 20 meters over the edge of the canyon.

Antelope Canyon

• Antelope Canyon is one of the most photographed rock gorges of the world. Sunlight there lighting conditions changing virtually every minute.
