Graded questions are used in quizzes to test knowledge retention, determine how a learner understands course material. The table below lists all graded question types supported by iSpring QuizMaker. Graded Question Type Description True/False A student should define whether a statement is True or False. Select the single correct option using the radio button. Graded QuestionType

Description

True/False A student should define whether a statement is True or False.

Type In A student should type an answer in the text field.

You can specify more than one acceptable answers. For example, for the question 'What is the star of our system' you canspecify 'Sun' and 'the Sun' as correct answers.

Note: answers are case­insensitive.

Matching A student should match pairs of words or phrases.

Add several correctly corresponding pairs of words or phrases. They will be shuffled when displayed to a student.

Sequence A student should arrange items in the correct order.

Add answers and arrange them in the correct order. They will be shuffled when presented to a student.

Numeric A student should enter a correct number to answer this question type.

You can specify an exact number, or a specified range as a correct answer. Several possible answers can be set.

Fill­in theBlank

A student should fill in the blanks in a given text.

Type a text and replace some words with blanks. Then type correct answers in each blank. You can provide several correctanswers for each blank by clicking the Add a new item in the drop­down list. NOTE: answers are case insensitive. Forexample, there is no difference between Sun and sun. Tip: if you select a word or a phrase and then click Insert a blank,the selected text will be converted into a blank with a correct answer.

MultipleChoiceText

A student should select a correct answer from a drop down list with possible choices.

Replace one or more words or phrases in the text with a drop­down list of possible answers using the Insert a list button.Each list should contain at least two items. Select the correct item in the list using a radio button.

Word Bank A student should drag and drop words from a word bank into blanks in the text.

Type a text and replace some words with placeholders. Then type correct answers in each placeholder. To make the taskharder, you may provide one or more words or phrases in the Extra Items list.

Hotspot A student should click on a correct area or several areas on an image.

Open an image and add one or several hotspots of rectangle, oval, or freeform. You can maximize the details area to workwith large images.

Survey Question TypesSurvey questions are used for gathering information or opinion and don’t have correct or incorrect answers. Survey questions can beused in both graded quizzes and surveys.

The table below lists all survey question types supported by iSpring QuizMaker.

LikertScale

Respondents are asked to choose a response on a Likert scale that best reflects their opinion on a statement.

You can add as many statements as you need. The order of statements can be changed with the Move Up and Move Downbuttons.

It's also possible to change the default three­point scale by clicking the Scale button and editing scale entries.

Yes/No A survey participant is asked to choose if he or she agrees with the given statement.

You don't have to go with the default YES or NO. You may change the text of the answers ­ just click the option and edit thetext. It's also possible to add an image or a formula to the text.

Pick One A survey participant is offered to choose one option from several alternatives.

You can add as many choices as you need and change the text. Choices can be rearranged with the Move Up and MoveDown buttons. If an answer choice is marked as 'Type in', user will have an option to enter custom answer for it.

PickMany

A survey participant is offered to select one or several options from the available choices.

You can add as many options as you want and arrange them in the desired order. If an answer choice or multiple choices aremarked as 'Type in', user will have an option to enter custom answer for them.

ShortAnswer

A survey participant should type a short answer (one line) in the text field.

Numeric A survey participant should enter a numeric value to answer this question type.

Ranking A survey participant is prompted to rank items in preferred order.

You can add as many answers as you want.

Matching A survey participant is asked to match pairs of words or phrases.

Add several pairs of words or phrases. It's possible to add an image or a formula to the text.

WhichWord

A survey participant is offered to fill in the blanks in sentences with words from a word bank.
