Governor Services – Clerking Service for Hearings Governor Services provide a clerking service for Pupil Discipline Committees, Hearing Committees, Appeal Committees and Complaints Committees. Governors can be confident that school governance regulations are complied with and those governors receive up-to-date information and advice on the relevant legislation and procedures. In the case of personnel matters, this will be given in conjunction with advice from the school’s human resources provider. Timescales and Deadlines Meetings will be convened within the relevant timescales and letters, together with the required documentation, will be dispatched within the time limits stated within legislation and the appropriate procedures. Abilities and Experience This service is provided by a small team of experienced and skilled advisers with specialist knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and procedures. Price of the Service The price for this service includes pre-meeting administration, travelling, attendance at the hearing, producing minutes and undertaking any follow up actions. The charges are as follows: Activity Price Academy Price (exc. VAT) One hour hearing £352 £373 Two hour hearing £541 £577 Three hour hearing £689 £735 Half day hearing (4 hours) £1149 £1231 Whole day hearing (8 hours) £1782 £1904 Hearings of between four and eight hours duration will be charged on a pro-rata basis. Charges for hearings lasting more than one day will be subject to negotiation. In the event of the hearing being cancelled a one-off administration charge of £200 will be applied.

What the Service Provider Will Do:

For sta�-related issues we will:

Provide a ‘hearings checklist’ to those schools purchasing HR services through Milton Keynes Council, detailing functions undertaken by all parties involved.

For those schools purchasing HR services elsewhere,functions and duties will be agreed based on theabove upon request

In conjunction with the school’s HR provider, liaisewith governors, the headteacher and any otherparties regarding paperwork and its distribution.

For pupil-related issues the client will:

Provide a ‘hearings checklist’ }

Advise governors, the headteacher and any otherparties on appropriate procedures for the hearing, inline with Governing Board regulations and currentDfE guidance.

Receive the investigation pack from the school/investigating o�cer/school’s HR providerfor copying and distribution to aIl parties.

} Send a letter to all parties involved con�rming detailsof the hearing and enclosing relevant documentswithin the prescribed timeframe.

What We Will Ask You to Do:
