What are Circles?Circles are groupings of contactsYou can create a Circle for Family contacts, Friends, Co-Workers, or whoever you like to communicate withCreating Circles allows you to share content with your contacts that is relevant to themFor example, your family might not want to know about your desk move at work, but your co-workers would. Using the Co-Workers Circle to post that information to your Google Plus would show that posting to only that Circle and save your other contacts from reading information that doesnt apply to them.3CirclesHow to set up CirclesOn your Google Plus home page, click on the Circles icon

Setting up your Circles is easyStart from your Google Plus home pageClick on the Circles icon4Adding People to Your CirclesTo add people to your circles, you must first have people in your contacts list. Search for people using the search box at the top of the page.

Adding People to Your CirclesTo add people to your circles, you must first have them added into your contacts list.Search for specific people using the search box at the top of the pageEnter their name into the box and push Enter5Adding People to Your CirclesEnter a name in the search box and press enter. Google Plus will search for the name you entered.

Adding People to Your Circles ContinuedAfter entering the name of the person you would like to find in the search box and pressing enter, Google Plus will attempt to find the person you are looking for.If the person you were looking for is in the list of search results, click on their name to add them to your contacts list.6Adding People to Your CirclesOnce you have people in your contacts list, you can add them to your circles. Click on View All from the search results.

Once you have added the desired individuals to your contacts list, you can add them to your circlesClick on the View All link from the search results screen to add people directly from the search results.7Adding People to Your CirclesFrom this screen, you can click on the Add to Circles button and then select which circle to add them to.

From here, you can click on the Add to Circles button to the right of the persons name you want to addSelect a Circle to add the contact toYou can add a contact to more than one Circle8Adding People to Your CirclesYou can also drag and drop contacts into your circles page of your Google Plus Account.

You can also drag and drop contacts in the Circles Go to your Circles pageYour contacts will be listed there for youSimply drag the contact you want to the Circle you want them to be inAgain, you can add a contact to multiple Circles9Posting to Your CirclesPosting information to your Circles allows you to share specific information with specific people.Go to your Home page to view your Streaming options.

On the left side of your Google Plus Home Page, select the Circle you would like to share information withUnder the word Stream, you will see your created Circles listedClick on the circle to the left of the Circle you want to post to to select it11Posting to Your CirclesFor this example, I selected Friends.

When you select a Circle, it will become highlighted as the example shows aboveThis is how you know your desired Circle has been accurately selected12Posting to Your CirclesMy Home page is now filtered to include only those in my Friends Circle.

Your Home Page will now filter postings to show only those contacts in the Circle you have selectedQuickly review those listed to make sure you have selected the correct CircleType your message into the box that says Share whats new . . . When youve finished typing your message, press enter to Share13Posting to Your CirclesNow, when you post a message, the message will only go to your contacts that are in your Friends Circle.

Your contacts in your other Circles wont see the message at all.
