The Celebration of a life lived…

June Bug was born July 4, 2010

Her birth was the celebration of not only America’s independence but the bright future of our great democracy

She was a very patriotic child who loved her parents and her country

We were sure she was going to be a congressman or at least the governor of Alaska

However, the flame of freedom did not burn long.

A distinguished flame… June Bug’s life was taken on July 4,

2011 in a crazed fireworks accident in our backyard.

My Uncle Chuck bought illegal fireworks which proved to be dangerous.

The impact of the explosion whipped her out of my arms and threw her six feet away.

She died from head trauma.

We continue to stay strong because these colors don’t run.

Eulogy:

June Bug was truly a firecracker. She brought light and laughter to all those around her. It unfortunate that she left this world so soon. We have lost a great part of our future. However, we will keep her memory with us throughout our lives and allow her to guide us through this epic journey we call life.

We will miss her. But our lives are so much better because she was a part of our lives even if it was for a short amount of time.

See you on the other side.
