The school has gained a considerable windfall in new Science equipment. This will be used to support our implementaon of the Australian Science Curriculum. ABSENCES If your child is unable to aend school (or is late or leaving early) please send a note with your child when they return. Include your child’s name, class, date absent and the reason for the absence. All absences are recorded on the computer and the Department of Educaon requires a reason for the absence. Absence leers are automacally generated and sent home with the children when no explanaon is given. Ray Claydon/Principal RELAY FOR LIFE: PURPLE DAY Berinba has again entered a team in this year's Relay for Life (Berinba Beaues). This event will take place at Yass Showground over the weekend 22/23 March and all money raised will go towards cancer research. We will be holding a fundraising 'Purple Day' on Tuesday 14 March, to raise money for this cause. Students are invited to wear purple and to donate a gold coin. If you would like to join the team, or make a donaon you can do so online at the following website, hp://relay.cancercouncil.com.au/2014/yass_2014/Berinba-Beaues (Mrs D Armour) 2014 PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE The Premier’s Reading Challenge has started for 2014 if your child would like to parcipate see Mr Bradley for a reading log or download it from our school website. For more detailed informaon see: hps://products.schools.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html REGIONAL SWIMMING CARNIVAL Thank you parents for your support in transporng our district team to Dapto. All our students competed well. (Mr C Bradley) SRC MUFTI-DAY held 28 February The SRC raised $308. $154 is being donated to Lung Foundaon Aust. and the remainder is being spent on school resources. Thanks to all.
